Appointments! Car Insurance! PEK! Azalea! 9.11.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:04 pm

I’m meeting with Russell Mann tomorrow morning to show him around the International Village. He’ll be bringing a team next Summer if all goes well.

I’m working on getting my Mom’s car transferred into my name and an ID card for her. Lots of moving parts putting all this stuff together including title, insurance and emissions certificate. I talked to my car insurance agent John Thomas at Progressive to get the coverage research rolling.

K and I are making plans for our trip to Clayton later this month.

OYB!

Español! I’m working with Duolingo and Unedo.

Hiked .62 miles in 17.45 minutes. I’m studying as I’m hiking up and down my hill.

I got a package delivered by USPS from Amazon. It had come open and nothing was in it. Amazon is sending another remote control to replace the one that was in the package.

Called Nancy, my Mom’s hairdresser. I’m taking my Mom to get her hair shampooed and blow dried tomorrow around 3PM.

Set up my colonoscopy appointment.

K and I picked up the grandgirls at the bus and took them to Taco Veloz. Thursday is Pop Pop’s day.

Got more information on the melatonin spit test project that Jessi is going to take. It measures when the body is actually primed to go to sleep.

The guy is a criminal.

Went to the Mission to help the kids. K is a big asset.

Happy children.

I still need to make an appointment for the dermatologist and the dentist.

Keep on.

Hike! Jon! PEK! Azalea! 9.10.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:54 pm

K and I are looking forward to going to the Georgia mountains in a couple of weeks!

Been enjoying working with my new Spanish learning app, Unedo! I made some comments about what I think should be added and they put me on the beta test team. That’s cool!

Vocabulario!

OYB!

Español!

Our neighbors finally took down the hideous decorations they had on their mailbox. I think they may have moved.

Hiked .89 miles. I used to think of exercise primarily in distance. Now, I’m thinking in terms of how much time I spend exercising. The research say 150 minutes or 2.5 hours is what we need per week. I’ve done about 2.0 hours so far this week. Runkeeper is one of my favorite apps. I love how sophisticated these health apps are. So much data!

Had a fun lunch with my buddy, Jon Paul today. He’s such a great guy! He’s also the treasurer of Whirlwind Missions, so he signs my reimbursement checks. We take care of business after having lunch.

I’ve had a text conversation with J’s sleep doctor. I ordered the Melatonin onset kit today. We’re doing our best to help J get better rest. She’s suffered so long feeling exhausted.

There was some updated information on the labs that I did last week. Even though my glusose was above what it should be, it still wasn’t in the pre-diabetic range.

K and I picked up the girls at the bus. We ate at Waffle House today. I had a car windshield glaring me in the face, so I put my hat on to cover that side of my face but it looked pretty wacky. The girls were dying laughing.

K and I helped the kids at the Mission.

Picked up my groceries on the way home.

It will be close, but I reckon I’ll come in second.

Nana’s Eyes! Gas! Azalea! 9.9.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:20 pm

Cool morning.

I wore my old blue jeans. The newer pair needed washing, which I did along with the rest of the laundry.

OYB!

Took Mom to her eye doctor this morning. They did a thorough exam, took pictures and then gave her shots for macular degeneration in both eyes.

I like all the models and posters.

Here’s the data from the visit.

Got gas and checked the oil.

Got this note from my buddy Paul. It’s a serious matter and kind of mysterious. Huh. I prayed for him.

I’ve made contact with J’s sleep doctor. Trying to make some progress on Jessi’s sleep.

Ordered groceries this morning and picked them up on the way home.

Got this email today.

Deposited checks. Thank you, Father. I really appreciate it.

Helped the kids at the Mission.

I was notified about some black dude who was cutting through Azalea. I let the manager know

Coordinating with Mom’s PT team.

I’ll probably come in second place this week.

These articles have been really good. “Ahorita” was explained. It literally means “Just a moment,” but apparently, it can mean pretty much anytime. Maybe even later this month! I’ve enjoyed the Unedo app.

Blanket! PEK! Cheer! Azalea! Nana’s Bags! 9.8.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:01 pm

OYB!

Came in fourth place last week.

Two of my baby rose bushes are blooming. I love the candy stripe look.

Español!

Beautiful weather.

I’ve been to this museum in Mexico City. It was one of the lessons from Unedo.

I started walking up and down my hill again. It usually takes me about 45 minutes to drink my coffee. I’ll exercise while I’m doing the last of my lessons. Another about thirty minutes. I can’t do lessons, hold a phone and a coffee cup.

I took J’s blanket and washed it in one of the industrial washing machines at Azalea.

We picked up the girls and took them to Bobby’s cheeseburgers.

The girls had fun doing their cheerleader routines. They would call out the letters of their sister’s name.

Kathy helped me with the kids at the Mission today. Amen.

Coordinating Mom’s PT appointments.

She goes to the eye doctor tomorrow morning.

Ordered J’s medical equipment.

I’ve had my Mom’s bags on and under a six foot table in my room. This evening, I took an inventory of the six bags remaining to unpack and put away. I’ll be glad to get that table put up.

Keep going.

Wax Melt! Bike! Don Cheto! 9.7.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:38 pm

Interesting.

OYB!

Beautiful weather.

I got my Mom a new wax melter. Love the honeysuckle smell!

Pumped up the air in my bike tires and rode 12.43 miles.

Listened to Don Cheto while I rode.

I need to pick up some meds for my Mom.

Vocabulario.

Funny.

I’ll come in fourth this week.

Helped K with laundry. Put the sheet on her bed along with the pillows. Her sciatica is bothering her.

Filled and put the water bottles in J’s fridge.

Sewing! Watering! Feeder! Podcast! 9.6.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:34 pm

I think Banksy would like this use of his art. I saw the original in Palestine.

Jimmy Hendrix had a big influence on my guitar playing along with Jimmy Page.

What kind of president writes like this?

Sewed a hole in Nana’s pants.

OYB!

Español!

Cloudy and some rain.

Lab results. Not great.

I’ve enjoyed using the Unedo app. Giving them feedback.

Watered my outdoor plants.

Checking on meds for my Mom.

Sad to hear about this. Edwin and his family helped me when we had the fire.

Checked on the mattress foam that I put in bags yesterday.

I put three bags straight in the dumper.

I put the hummingbird feeder closer to where I sit.

I was planning on riding my bike. I saw these storms coming and recorded instead.

What?

Went to Stone Mountain to record a new episode called “The Blessing.”

All comes down to tomorrow. Toss up for third.

Worked on the financial report for Whirlwind Missions.

Physical! Laundry! Mattress! 9.5.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:20 pm

Played my Les Paul with my Spark amp last night.

OYB!

Español!

Got kind of hot.

Vocabulary with Unedo. I’ve enjoyed the puzzles and the “sparks” little articles about Latin life.

Went for my “annual” physical. My blood pressure was a little high. They drew blood from my hand. I saw Dr. Lee. I thought she did a good job, but the exam wasn’t particularly thorough.

I took my old foam mattress off my bed, cut it up into pieces and put them in garbage bags to be thrown away. My new mattress is not nearly as dense.

Swept all the little pieces up.

Did laundry.

Took my Mom to get a hair cut. She liked her new hair dresser.

I saw these locks in the parking lot.

Keep going.

Side Table! PEK! Taco Veloz! Azalea! 9.4.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:26 pm

Vocabulario!

Unedo!

I like looking at the transcript of Don Cheto.

OYB!

Español!

I put my new hummingbird feeder pole up this morning. Fun to watch the little birds. Having one in front of the house will give the other feeders less competition. He can’t chase what he can’t see.

I set up a new storage area container for my Mom.

I put my Mom’s new side table together.

I got to use my new screwdrivers. Amen.

I did a lot of yard work as well as biking.

K and I picked up the girls. I got to choose Taco Veloz for dinner. So good.

I braided Everly’s hair. She wasn’t impressed.

We went by Huntley Hills Elementary to see Penelope’s class and get a book she needed. I saw this by the bathrooms.

K and P stayed at Ashley’s house while E and I went to Azalea. Went to the bank to deposit money. What a blessing you are to me, Father!

Azalea for tutor time.

Ordered a new stapler for the Mission.

I put a new screen protector on K’s iPhone 11 Pro Max.

A lot of serious students this week.

Anthony! PEK! Newsletters! Azalea! 9.2.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:29 pm

I sent a text to a volunteer who’s been helping me at the Mission.

Vocabulario.

Setting up appointments.

OYB!

I’ve been taking my roses more seriously. I planted four more this Spring.

Español!

Setting up a pre-site visit for Russell Mann to come check out the International Village.

Good chat with my buddy Anthony who is currently in Brazil.

We had a scare at the bus today. Everyone got off except for our two! Turns out Penelope got hit in the face with a ball and got a bloody nose. The teachers decided it was better for us to come get them because they weren’t sure how badly it was going to keep one bleeding. She was fine when we go there.

Ate at the Buford Highway Farmers Market with PE.

After we ate, we got some mango ice cream. Great marketing!

Renae at the church printed the newsletter. I added stamps to about thirty and stuffed all the envelopes. Went to the Post Office to get them in the mail stream.

To the Mission to help the kids with their homework. They still have a lot to do for tomorrow.

Coordinated with one of my Mom’s physical therapists.

Keep going.

I’ve enjoyed this Unedo app.

Groceries! Anthony! PEK! Azalea! 9.2.25

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:36 pm

Wow!

Unedo!

Talked with the fact checker at Texas Monthly about the NoZe Brotherhood article coming out in October.

Confirmed my annual physical appointment for Friday.

OYB!

I ordered a new foam topper for my bed. They last maybe five years. I’ve had mine seventeen.

Español!

I ordered a pole that I can hang a hummingbird feeder on. I’ll put it in front of where I sit in the mornings. There was a time when I would have hummingbirds flying all around me. Just a handful now.

Had a fun chat with my buddy Anthony. He always cracks me up.

Ordered groceries.

Gorgeous weather.

K and I picked up the girls and took them to Cici’s Pizza/Bobby’s Cheeseburgers. Then on Safari to Dick’s sporting goods. They liked the cheer stuff.

Flexible!

I enjoyed the Impossible burger at Bobby’s I left them a good review on Google.

Helped the kids at the Mission.

One of the kids was studying about black light. He didn’t know what it was.

Picked up groceries.

Push harder.
