Talked to Nana and listened to Don Cheto on the way to Roopville. Mr. Google took me all over the place to get here including on dirt roads. I just kept praying that the GPS would keep working, which it did.
I worked on the registration for The Food Forest Namibia last night. I reserved the domain for three years. I’m glad to be able to help.

K and I went to the DDS where you get a new drivers license. I filled out the forms last night and they gave me a confirmation number. K took her DL, SS card and that number. They gave her #336 and in less than 15 minutes she was at the window. She had to have her vision checked, which she passed. We were finished in thirty minutes. MANY people failed to fill out the forms on line and had to do everything there and THEN wait in line.

Walked 1.62 miles while I studied.
I’ve been talking to my Mom a lot lately. Lots of things going on. I think everything has moved really smoothly.
I requested the Fellowship Hall at FBC Doraville for the teams I have coming. Looks like I may have added another team this afternoon!
I finished putting the first coat on all the walls in J’s new office. Did a second coat on one wall. Ceiling is finished.
Checked the oil and filled up the Honda.
Checked the mail at my office.
I talked with Pastor John Weldon at Westside BC. He wants to bring a team to work with us for a week. Amen.
I picked up the girls at the bus and went to Burger King to eat. They had fun in their playground. Then on to the Mission!
While the family is living in the Mission, I decided to leave all my stuff outside.
Ashley brought some stuff to give away. Kids go dad gum wild.
Don Cheto.
Got on Southwest.com and procured the tickets for my Mom and Roopa to come to Atlanta.
I’ll probably come in the top five this week.

I’m looking into replacing the vanity in my bathroom. It looks pretty bad.

Jessi helped me get Nana’s TV set up. It wasn’t heavy, but it was still a two man job to do delicately.

I ordered green spray paint to cover the filing cabinets in J’s new office and a bath mat for the shower.
Even without paint there was prep to do. Taped off all the windows. Took tape off of the outlets. She wants them green too. I had already masked them off. Bahd luck.
Freezing weather is on hold for awhile so I took my carnivorous plants back outside. I redid where I keep them. I cleaned the tray they are in completely out and I’m putting the plants directly in it without a secondary tray.
I also rearranged the peppermint roses.
My Mom pulled a muscle in her leg. Looks like she’ll be flying rather than taking that three day, 1,000 miles road trip from Texas to Georgia. Flying is way better. It’s a change in the plan, however. We need to let our friend know what’s going on.
We have a family living at the mission for a few days. I’ll move my stuff outside, until they leave.
I picked Everly up at the bus. We went home to check on Ryder. Later we got Penelope at school. She was at Drama Club.
Helped the kids at the mission.
Don Cheto.
Deposited checks. Thank you, Father.

I decided to get this TV for my Mom’s room. Too good a deal to pass up.

Good talk with my buddy Danou in Namibia. We discussed getting a web site started.
This is the finished product.
Once I finished the paint job, it was time to add all the accessories. The drain cover, bath mat, tension bar, curtain, liner, hooks, baskets and seat pad.
If you work hard, long enough you get results.
I’m thinking about getting this top replaced. It leaks and looks pretty gross. I talked to Roberto about how much that would cost. I sent him this set of pictures.
Here’s what the shower looks like with the accessories.
After I set up the bathroom, I moved to working on Jessi’s new office. I first had to remove everything from the room. Jessi helped get the glass table out. I went through all of the stuff in the filling cabinets. It was like looking into a time capsule from twenty years ago.
Once I got everything out of the room, I gave it a thorough cleaning and vacuum. Also went over the surface of the walls with a slightly damp rag to get rid of the dust.
Then masked off the edges.
Masked off the lights and prepped the room for painting the ceiling.
Started adding the green acrylic paint. It was super thick. Doesn’t cover really well. I cut in the ceiling first.
I ordered another 1.5 gallons. Hopefully, that’ll be enough. I don’t think this paint was actually made for doing a whole room.
Tonight I felt like I had old man hands.
Keep going. Too tight to guess what will happen.

I talked briefly with my friend Danou today. He was getting ready to have a big BBQ for the guys that work for him and their families.
Looks like Greenland isn’t much bigger than Alaska.
I painted the newly remodeled shower today. I worked on it for about seven hours. It’s a long process to do right. Started out by sanding down the sheetrock mud. That was a long and messy job.
I needed to shoot this exposed pipe with chrome colored Rustoleum spray paint. Since I had to spray it, that meant that I had to mask off all the areas around it. I found garbage bags worked pretty well.
The prep work of masking everything off is really time consuming.
After doing all the sanding and masking off, the next job is to “cut it in” which means painting around the corners where the roller can’t go.
The last step is using the big roller to fill in the gaps.
It was a hard job. Very intricate. Plus the new paint was almost exactly the color of the old paint, so it was hard to tell what was painted and what wasn’t. Same for when I did the white trim around the window and door frame.
Then it’s time for touching up the little mistakes here and there.
I gave it a second coat to make sure I’d covered it all well.
The door frame is pretty hard too.
I still need to do the final clean up. I think I have everything to set up the shower now too. That’ll be a tomorrow job.
Got an emergency message from the manager at Azalea Place. Of course I let her use the Mission. We can always meet outside. Looks pretty mild next week.
I’ll be at a Global Missions Conference at Roopville Road BC all next weekend. They’re usually fun, but I hate being away from home.
Just keep going. Apparently, I’ve hit a maximum amount of people I follow. I usually like to follow the best players, or if someone follows me.
