Went to the Dollar Tree to get four sets of sunglasses. I like to have spares because they get scratched pretty easily.

Post Office to get stamps for the newsletter.

Someone bought the property next to the entrance to our subdivision. Looks kind of bare there now.

Refurbished the headlights on K’s car. Four separate grinding and buffing procedures. Came out looking great.

I taped all around the lights to protect the paint. Tearing it off was way more fun.

I did all the work in the garage to stay out of the sun. It was kind of dark. I was glad I had a headlamp.

I cleaned off my drill before putting it up. It got splattered while cleaning the head lights.

Cleaned the hood and windshield in K’s car.

Looks new.

Blew the driveway and porch.

Blew the deck.

Mixed up some fertilizer for the outside plants.

I gave each of the banana plants two gallons. Doubt I’ll do that for the indoor plants because of the smell.

I worked on the car at least thirty minutes before I started this timing. That grinding was hard.

I love our little flamingo family.

The magnolias are doing well.

Miniature rose bushes.

Driveway looks way better.

Picked up the girls at the bus. K and I took them to Taco Veloz. My favorite. Anthony and I were talking about jalapeño peppers today. Chipotle is a roasted jalapeño.

Blast from the past. Everly used to rider her little bike at Global Mall. For a year I picked up Penelope and Everly. Then for another year I just picked up Everly.

K’s new iPhone came in! I hope it works great for her. Back Market has been good so far. Except for the last phone that sucked.

Picked up groceries on the way home. Cleaned windows in the car while we waited.

Busy with appointments.

Took Mom to her foot doctor today to do her toenails and clean off the old toenail that had fungus. He gave us some ideas for shoes. She wears shoes maybe two hours a week, so I doubt we’ll get new ones.

We also went to Regions bank to cash in a CD and put it into the Money Market account. She had to sign a paper to do that.

I like Eric Barker’s blog. Today’s was on happiness.

Emailed Bill and Sandy about a question with the EIN number for the ministry.

Went by the office to check the mail.

Took PEK to Bobby’s Cheeseburgers.

It’s hot.

Went to Azalea to help the kids.

GREAT to see my friend Tabias! He was in my original youth group at the Mission.

We’re almost out of garbage bags and paper plates. I figured I’d better get the order in ASAP.

Cleaned the screen and keyboard of my Mac Air. Just a damp washrag and dry off. That’s what Apple advises.

Ordered more wax melts. It’s a way of life.

Foot doctor for Nana tomorrow. Plan accordingly.

Hot and sweaty.

Picked up so many sticks. I spent over an hour yesterday stacking them. Today, I mainly hauled the stacks to my recycling area.

Cleaned and organized my St. Francis shrine.

Saw a couple of sprigs of poison ivy. I dug up all I saw. I used NuTech on my skin when I showered, just in case I came in contact with it.

Sticks, sticks and more sticks.

I found one of my tree guy’s ropes in my yard. I coiled it up and put it on my sofa at the front of my house. Took pictures to show him where it was.

I also dug up a bunch of plants that I didn’t want growing in my yard.

It was a big and physically hard job.

Sweat rag.

Checked up on K’s phone.

Recorded and released an episode of Verbal Surgery called, “Bullseye.” It’s a good one!

This week will be close.

My Mom had her phone on do not disturb. I let her know she was getting a call.

I rehung the downspout in the NE part of my house. Cleared out the bushes, redid the concrete base.

I rooted a coleus and put it in some dirt today.

Cleaned out the feeders in my Mom’s windows.

Got my shovel and a pot so I could transplant this volunteer magnolia.

I got a lot of the roots, but don’t know if it will be enough. Hope so!

Filled the hole in with branches and dirt.

Stacked sticks in my back yard. Hard incredibly sweaty work.

This did not count the time that I worked on the feeders nor the downspout.

I’m letting the monkey grass in my backyard flower. I’m interested in watching the seeds develop.

Got the equipment for K’s new phone in.

I’m adding a fan for the hall bathroom.

This means there’s no one talking. It’s just the biofeedback.

It’ll be close this week. Weird to start day one on Saturday.

Had a good time using my Serenibrain headset last night. It has visual and auditory cues when your brain is entering a deeper state. This is what the screen looks like when you’re doing well.

I’ve been watching videos of these guys in Venezuela climbing trees like monkeys. Crazy.

Ordered an iPhone 15 plus for K. J helped a lot with making the decision. As soon as I ordered the iPhone, I used Amazon to get a case and screen protector.

Went to J’s therapy session. Nana and K were also there to support her.

Took Nana for a haircut and shampoo. BK for lunch.

Dominating this week. There are weeks when this same score wouldn’t be in the top five.

My Serenibrain headset came in yesterday! I put it all together and gave it a test run last night.

As part of my planning for my trip, I make pictures of the scripture I’ll be reading during my time off.

Went to see Dr. Jonnala. I don’t think she can help. Jessi was so sad that she asked K and me not be go away this weekend. So we stayed. Family first.

K and J already have another fibromyalgia doctor in mind.

Storms came through. Blinked our lights.

I practiced with my headset. I’ve been interested in brain tech since I was in my early twenties using Galvanic Skin Response devices.

This was really good news! Glad we’re getting our money back so we can get K something that will work for her.

I started shopping for another phone for her.

Another job to do.

I studied Spanish this evening. The morning was full of doctor stuff.

I’m still working on getting K another phone. Back Market has been good so far.

There was a technical problem with Walmart’s app today. Ended up getting three of these.

I organized and threw stuff away from in the garage file cabinet.

The girls got off the bus right around 3:00 PM. We ate at Taco Veloz, my favorite in the area.

I gave Ms. Jones, one of my volunteers at Azalea, a key to the Mission. I went to Lowes to make more. Also made each of the girls a key to their house.

I’ve never seen a van with this many licenses.

Helped the kids at the Mission. I’m doing everything outside as much as possible. Walk in business.

The kids made little cartoon figures and had a play.

Heard from a supporter’s daughter today. She wanted to set up a transfer of funds between banks rather than having to write checks.

Gassed up the car. Cleaned the windshield and dashboard. K likes that.

Got documents together for J’s appointment tomorrow.

After all the problems in Columbia, I reached out to Tito to see if his wife’s family had been affected.
