K and I went to Dillard House for lunch. They were remodeling.
Dillard is known for antiques. I’ve gotten some cool stuff there in the past but didn’t see anything interesting today, except for this piano, which was a “fixer-upper.”
We changed to our winter schedule today. I started working at Azalea at 3:30 PM. Sunset is at 7:41PM. Next month that will be around 6:30PM. That should keep us from driving home in the dark. Penelope wasn’t happy about not going to Cici’s on “her” day.
Watered my plants.

I will repaint my shoes soon and put in some new laces.
Azalea!
Never too much Ashley!
Pup and girls!
Funny!
Went by Goodwill to pick up a carry on bag that I can use for my weekend get-a-way with K.
Picked up groceries!
Don’t stop.

Heard back from my doctor about blood pressure meds as well as PSA readings. Looks like I’m doing fine for now.
K and I picked up the girls and took them to Ponko Chicken. We hadn’t done that since the store was in Stone Mountain over 25 years ago.
Processed and deposited checks. Thank you so much, Father.
Working on the grocery list. K and I are planning on going up to the N. Georgia mountains this weekend. I’ve been a little sick. Hopefully, I won’t get any worse.
Helped the kids at the Mission.
We had one of the Bengali ladies bring some treats for the kids. I say hello to her husband in Bengali when I see him. He was impressed.
The girls loved Nana’s new vanity, chairs and decorations in her room!
K and I took the girls to Bojangles for breakfast.
While we were there, I got our tickets for Six Flags. By getting annual passes, we didn’t have to pay for parking which turned out cheaper than just paying for a one visit trip!
We had a great time.
The girls said they had never seen a phone like this in real life.
We rode the train around the park. I had never done that before.
The girls are at a difficult age: the little stuff is too little and the big rides are too big. We still had fun.
Great day.
Lot of walking.
Coordinated Mom’s PT.
The girls almost always forget something at our house when they leave.
Ordered some new reading glasses. One of the arms broke off of one of my pairs.
I’ll come in second place this week, as I predicted.
My blood pressure was a bit high at the doctor’s office last week. I tried several times with our home blood pressure unit and after doing some relaxation techniques it came out well. I let the doctor know. I may still need to be on medication.
Got the instructions for taking the medicine before the colonoscopy next month.

I’m enjoying having a hummingbird feeder near where I study.
Warm today.
Watered my outdoor plants.
I cut down one of my rose bushes. It was pretty much dead. Sad.
Rode my bike 12.40 miles in 1:22 hours. Listened to Don Cheto while I rode.
Ashley and Miles brought the grandgirls over. We are going to Six Flags tomorrow. Great having the family together!
Had fun playing Trouble, although Everly takes winning/losing way too seriously.
Looks like I’ll come in second place this week.

Russell Mann will be bringing a team from his church in Alabama next Summer. I had fun getting to know his family and showing them around the International Village. We visited the Buford Highway Farmers Market, Asian Square, China Town and Plaza Fiesta.
I was contacted by my doctor about my upcoming colonoscopy. I ordered the medicine I need to take before the procedure.
Talked with John Thomas about getting insurance for my Mom’s car.
Took my Mom to get her hair shampooed and blown dry.

I’m meeting with Russell Mann tomorrow morning to show him around the International Village. He’ll be bringing a team next Summer if all goes well.
I’m working on getting my Mom’s car transferred into my name and an ID card for her. Lots of moving parts putting all this stuff together including title, insurance and emissions certificate. I talked to my car insurance agent John Thomas at Progressive to get the coverage research rolling.
K and I are making plans for our trip to Clayton later this month.
OYB!
Español! I’m working with Duolingo and Unedo.
Hiked .62 miles in 17.45 minutes. I’m studying as I’m hiking up and down my hill.
I got a package delivered by USPS from Amazon. It had come open and nothing was in it. Amazon is sending another remote control to replace the one that was in the package.
Called Nancy, my Mom’s hairdresser. I’m taking my Mom to get her hair shampooed and blow dried tomorrow around 3PM.
Set up my colonoscopy appointment.
K and I picked up the grandgirls at the bus and took them to Taco Veloz. Thursday is Pop Pop’s day.
Got more information on the melatonin spit test project that Jessi is going to take. It measures when the body is actually primed to go to sleep.
The guy is a criminal.
Went to the Mission to help the kids. K is a big asset.
Happy children.
I still need to make an appointment for the dermatologist and the dentist.
Keep on.

K and I are looking forward to going to the Georgia mountains in a couple of weeks!
Been enjoying working with my new Spanish learning app, Unedo! I made some comments about what I think should be added and they put me on the beta test team. That’s cool!

Our neighbors finally took down the hideous decorations they had on their mailbox. I think they may have moved.
Hiked .89 miles. I used to think of exercise primarily in distance. Now, I’m thinking in terms of how much time I spend exercising. The research say 150 minutes or 2.5 hours is what we need per week. I’ve done about 2.0 hours so far this week. Runkeeper is one of my favorite apps. I love how sophisticated these health apps are. So much data!
Had a fun lunch with my buddy, Jon Paul today. He’s such a great guy! He’s also the treasurer of Whirlwind Missions, so he signs my reimbursement checks. We take care of business after having lunch.
I’ve had a text conversation with J’s sleep doctor. I ordered the Melatonin onset kit today. We’re doing our best to help J get better rest. She’s suffered so long feeling exhausted.
There was some updated information on the labs that I did last week. Even though my glusose was above what it should be, it still wasn’t in the pre-diabetic range.
K and I picked up the girls at the bus. We ate at Waffle House today. I had a car windshield glaring me in the face, so I put my hat on to cover that side of my face but it looked pretty wacky. The girls were dying laughing.
K and I helped the kids at the Mission.
Picked up my groceries on the way home.
It will be close, but I reckon I’ll come in second.
