Jesse came over to the house to get more of his stuff for his apartment. Helped give him a haircut.

Went to the mission with the whole family! Miles came to help as well.

I had a meeting with Barbara Cornutt about doing something special with the WMU and the mothers in the International Village.

Looks like something that might work out.

Also met with Bayo, Bennett and Kevin at CIBC.

We’re all involved in the ministry together.

Had lunch with the whole family and Bayo & Bennett. Great fun and food was shared.

Handed out some medical cards for a doctor friend of mine in Doraville.

Gives the resident discounted medical rates and prescriptions. Lots of sick babies and kids out there!

Picked up the power cables and some supplies for the mission.

Worked with the kids at Azalea. Always fun!

Jesse had a good first night at Azalea. He has to develop some special knocks for some of the kids so he can tell who’s there. ; )

Admin duties at home now.

Today I picked up ten monitors, keyboards and mice from Reboot, my computer partners.



My friend Doug Allison is getting some computers for us.

I saw this amazing “Coke” machine today! I had a touchscreen with about 50 choices. And a LOT of sub choices. It had only one spout!

Over 100 choices in all! Yow! Welcome to America, baby!

Went to Walmart to pick up a air mattress for Jesse.

Then to FBC Doraville to offload 7 of the monitors and peripherals for my friend Doug Allison. Sure was glad Ashley was there to help!

We set up the mission differently, putting the games in the kitchen and making the middle room the computer room.

Helped the kids at the mission at Azalea. Good group!

Set up Jesse’s bed for him. The management has really gone all out to get the place spruced up for him to move in.

And one of the mothers brought him supper! I’ve been telling the kids to tell their moms to bring Jesse food. Gives them a chance to show our family some love. ; )

We had our ESL classes this evening.


Got home after 9pm tonight. Tonight’s Jesse’s first night at the mission on his own. Easy to remember his start date! 9/11!

Got some good exercise this morning. Ran about 6 miles at Stone Mountain on the elliptical tread mill.

It’s a lot easier than running out side.

Went to the mission with Kathy. Ashley and Miles joined us there. Lots of kids!

I liked Jhan’s car. It’s built to protect an egg.

Watched Kardashians this evening with K.

The whole family went to Clarkston International Bible Church today.

Sadly, Pastor Phil didn’t preach. They had 4 baptisms!


Went to Picadilly for lunch.

Then back to the house to rest and do my admin duties.

We had some good exercise on Friday. K,J and I walked about a mile.

Saw some beautiful flowers!~


I was stopped in my tracks by this extraordinary mushroom.

Then K and I rode our bikes to Walmart and back.

We cooled off in the shade!

My bike was repaired recently. It was glad to have her back full speed ahead.

New gear shift and two new cables.

I always found the geometry interesting.

And the texture of the paint was intriguing.

I liked these footprints.

And the pipes. Interesting how your eyes see patterns in how they’re stacked.

This morning I worked on a new podcast!

One of my favorite things. I really enjoyed the physics behind this episode!“Steamy Ice Water! Just CLICK on the title!

I cleaned the tank and took about ten fish over to the fish store. Too many in one tank.

Here’s two of them at the fish store.

Jesse and I went out to eat Mexican food with Ashley and Miles at El Taqueria del Sol. Delicioso.

We went to the Fernbank gift shop. Always fun.

I bought this. Groovy to the max.

Then we went to see ParaNorman. It was ok.

This was some kind of hat at the mall!

Watched “This Means War” with Reese Witherspoon this evening with K and J. Cute movie.

Admin duties now.

Loved this flower.

This morning I ran 4 miles. Plenty!

Ate lunch with Jesse at Zaxby’s. Good stuff! Love hanging out with my kids.

Went to the mission to work with the kids.

Had the whole family there, including Miles!

We met outside because the mission is getting a face lift before Jesse moves in. I appreciate the management stepping in to help.

We were glad that Fabiola was feeling better after her surgery.

The kids thought this was funny.

Came home for admin duties.

Flew my drone before dark. Met a lot of my neighbors who stopped to check it out. Fun to meet them!

I thought this drink was interesting. No, I didn’t buy it.

It’s been fun to think about the things that Jesse will need to live at the mission. We looked for an air mattress but didn’t find one we liked. Got some cleaning supplies.

J and I met up with Ashley and went to Plaza Fiesta to check on Miles’ computer. We’re getting some diagnostics done.

I sure have some great kids!

The manager has been very supportive and immediately got the carpets cleaned at the mission. So we did all our work outside.

It was good to have Ms. Amy come help us again! And a new volunteer, Ms. Charmaine. Great to have them back.

I think it’s pretty good. My overwhelming humility keeps me from going on and on about it.

Helped the kids at the mission. It was packed as usual.

Also very happy to see the ESL classes starting again at Azalea. We’re hoping we’ll have a steady group of people come. Hope so.

Talked with our manager at Azalea about Jesse moving in at the mission. I think it’s going to be a good fit for him. Plenty of friends there to make him feel loved and needed. Don’t we all need that? She was super supportive and enthusiastic about him being there. I was glad about that!

We stopped by ATT to check on getting internet over there for him. He’s still taking classes on line and needs to have reliable internet. That’ll be set up next week.

Enjoyed watching TV with K this evening. Sometimes I’m amazed at the girly television I watch with my wife. I’m even more shocked when I find myself kind of liking it.

Went grocery shopping last night. Healthy food!

Had a restful morning! Edited my sermon to post on YouTube.

Then went to Stone Mountain and ran 6.1 miles on the elliptical tred mill. Groovy! Sweaty!

Then shot over to Clarkston to join the family eating Indian food at Kathmandu grill. Excellent!

Came home to rest.

Then watched “Our Idiot Brother” with Jesse and Kathy. I liked it.

Went out and flew my drone around the neighborhood for about 30 minutes.

Admin duties now. Good labor day!
