Kathy is still not feeling well. She’s achey and tired all the time.
We went for a late breakfast then came back to the condo. We played some ping pong than she needed to rest.
So my day’s just been chilling out with the TV and computer.
Pray that K will feel 100% tomorrow.
Believe it our not, this week has been the coldest in Florida since 1958–when I was born!
Still a lot warmer than Atlanta!

Kathy felt a bit better today. Yeah!

We took it easy in the morning, but this afternoon we jumped on the bikes and rode about 5 miles around Orlando.

Most people come to Orlando and go to theme parks like Disneyworld or Universal Studios. We come here and ride our bikes around the outside.

We’re not much into big crowds and lines.
Discovery Cove had an off day, so we enjoyed seeing the natural beauty around it!

Almost caught an armadillo beside the road!

I snuck up on it to take the picture. When it finally heard me, it jumped a foot in the air!
Cool!
Beautiful view from our back porch.

Kathy crashed out early. I’m back to work.

Beautiful at this resort.

Kathy was joking with me today telling me how different this is from where we normally stay! Usually we can smell curry cooking from the leasing office!
Kathy has been sick today. Running a slight fever and aching. Hopefully she’ll be better tomorrow.
So I did stuff that K doesn’t like. Namely looking around at malls and watching movies.
I went to a super cool rock/mineral place today! I love finding new pieces for my collection of quartz/amethyst. These two are truly incredible.
I love the finger size of this point. And remember, it came out of the ground just like this!

This is a very rare double sided quartz crystal.

Did you know that under pressure these crystals give off a slight electric current?
This is called Labrodorite. It’s found in Mexico. I love the color glintz in the stone.

I saw Avatar in 3D. What an amazing movie. Especially for tree huggers like me.
Pray that Kathy feels better!

Cold morning here!

Kathy and I shot out of Stone Mountain about 2pm this afternoon on our way to Orlando, FL!
A friend let us stay at his time share. It’s a beautiful place: the Marriott Cypress Harbour.

Took us about seven hours to get here.

About 452 miles in all.
We saw a lot of cars from Michigan and from Ontario on their way south. Lot of them had salt from the roads on their vehicles.

I like Palm trees

Beautiful sunset on our way.

Thank you Lord for the safe trip!
I liked this big cow!

Kathy and I had fun today!

We took a field trip to the High Museum to see the Leonardo da Vinci exhibit.

I love being downtown shooting pictures of the buildings.

I have two heroes: Benjamin Franklin and Leonardo da Vinci. Both guys were artists, musicians and writers besides scientists and inventors.
I like the idea of being a Renaissance man.
Here’s Mr. Tim’s tip for the day.
If you have a Bank of America ATM/Visa card you can go for free to the exhibit as long as you have your card with you and it’s the first weekend of the month.
Free is free, baby.
There was a huge line for the place. I walked to the very head of the line and talked to a supervisor. I said I’d called ahead and had my Visa card and could I get a ticket now? She said sure and printed them off right there! We waited in line to go upstairs for about thirty minutes then went right on in.
It was a great exhibit showing many of his sketches for the huge bronze horse he wanted to make.

It was fun to be that close to a real genius.

Been working on the Outreach Update archiving project for hours today. Got it finished! Jesse will be putting it on line soon.
All the newsletters in full color, just as I originally laid them out. I think it’s pretty cool. The stories are great!
We had a nice supper with Kathy’s brother Bill and his girlfriend Deborah, Kathy’s sisters Ann and Ruth and her Husband, David last night. We met at Jason’s Deli.

I got a call from a friend of a friend of mine that offered us a free time share at the Marriott in Orlando for a week. His daughter went into labor 6 weeks early. They’d already paid for the place and wanted someone to enjoy it! Kathy and I will be leaving for Florida on Sunday after church.
As my brother Marco would tell me, “Don’t stop the blessings!”
Did you know it was a “Blue Moon” last night? That’s when there are two full moons in one month.

Met up with Ian & Ruthie North, Bayo Otiti and Paul Reynolds today for lunch. Always great to hang out with partners. Can’t believe I didn’t get a picture of the whole group. Bahd luck.
After our lunch, Paul, Jesse and I went over to Northchase apartments to talk with the new Manager and Ast. Mgr.

We’re trying to keep ministry going over there. We had a good talk, but I’m never particularly optimistic.
It’s like I was telling Paul, it’s all about timing. God’s in control. Period.
J and I went to Walmart to pick up supplies for the mission.
Weird, scalloped shaped clouds. They produced light sleet on my windshield.

Then over to Azalea to see how the kids are doing. Did I mention that the second Xbox we took there got ripped off? I’m still hoping that one of the older guys took it with them and will bring it back, but I’m not holding my breath. Fortunately, the Nintendo 64 works, now that we got the pieces it was missing (that were also stolen.)

Oh well. That’s why the call it missions. If it was easy, everyone would do it.
Had some sad news today. My camera developed a speck on the lens. I took it over to Best Buy and they’re going to fix it. I had a warranty. But it’ll take 2 weeks. I looked at every other camera there and all the new “better” models are not as good. They may have more megapixels, but the viewscreen is much smaller.
Sometimes I really hate these “upgrades.” When they make a really good model, why do they feel they HAVE to change it?
Back to the archiving project. I’m on 2006.
Take a look at this wacky car. It looks like it was made out of tupperware.

Most of the morning I worked on admin tasks: email and calls.
This evening, Jesse and I hiked up Stone Mountain.

It sure was beautiful.

I loved the reflection of the golden sunlight on the water on the rock.

Back for another round of admin, then relax!
I’m interested in these ancient petroglyphs. Notice the writing on the rock?

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:19 am
Ashley, Jesse and I met Kathy for lunch then went over to a neighbor of Kathy’s sister’s.

They were clearing out the house and we went over to pick up a few things that might be useful at the missions.
Over to Azalea to have the kids help us with labeling and stuffing envelopes. We got the final edition of our newsletter for 2009 into the mail stream. Amen!

I took the kids out for Japanese food last night. I like the flames!

Don’t remember seeing an Indiana plate before. Do they still have Indians?
