Derrick! Lester & Tito! Falls! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:48 pm

Had a productive day!

Kathy came with us today! Yeah!
k
We started out at Gwinnett Place Mall with a meeting with a great partner Derrick Poston!

He’s doing a wonderful job of missions in the Sugar Hill area. Been exciting to see that progress!

Then to the Falls where we had a meeting with the management and most of the church partners.

It’s a difficult thing to coordinate people who are all super busy. We’re trying to get one person to the keep up with the schedule for the manager. Not always as easy as it sounds.

People get uptight when they feel like they have to report to someone, like somehow that makes them subordinate to that person.

Then the BEST part of the day, I got to hang out with my two brothers Tito and Lester Ruiz!
l

GREAT folks. I’m talking them into a reunion concert. Those two are the best musicians I’ve ever played with!

We picked up the two computers that we had there since they weren’t being used and we were starting English as Second Language classes there. The computers were for self taught ESL. That doesn’t really work in the real world. Most people prefer to have a teacher and be in a class with others.

We dropped the computers straight off at Huntington Ridge. Eduardo and Sheila Zamora are doing a great job there!

Checked on the office at FBC Doraville. Picked up bills.

Let Kathy off at Azalea while we went to Walmart to pick up some supplies for the mission. We needed light bulbs bad.

Helped the kids with their homework at Azalea.

They’re having to learn elapsed time stuff. “If you start a meeting at 11:30 am and the meeting lasts for 2 hours and 38 minutes, what time will it be when the meeting ends?”

And have you noticed how analog clocks seem so 20th century?

Most of my friends don’t wear a watch. They just pull out their cellphone to check the time.

It’s Eid Mubarak today. Another big holy day for Muslims. The families are very festive!

Working on admin duties.

Finished making the DVDs for Brook Hollow BC. Mailed them off.

I’ve got some exciting phone calls to return. New missions directors and potential church partners who want to come and work in our area.

This baby doll creeped me out.

I thought the tree looked even more beautiful today. I love Atlanta!

And these clouds looked like chariots of fire!
