Ian! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:30 am

Had a fun lunch with two of my favorite men: Ian and Jesse!
i
We went around the sites where we will be doing service projects.

We’ll be helping Sequoyah Middle school around their property and library as well as some of our local apartment complexes.
s

Should be plenty of work!

Jesse and I were met with a new friend JoVahn who is here visiting from Jacksonville, FL.
j
Glad we had her help today!

Jesse was practicing his weight lifting by raising up some of the kids. They loved that!

Also delighted that all my chairs were back in the mission! Praise the Lord for that!

Some of the kids wrote me notes.

Came home to work on admin duties and enjoy time with Kathy! We watched “5 Minutes of Heaven.” It’s a story about the war in Ireland and how it affected families. Interesting, but not exactly a happy movie.

Love sunshine through trees!

Financials! Greta! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:59 am

Spent most of the morning working on my financial report. Ay, caramba.

Had lunch with Kathy and J! Excellent!
k
Kathy hasn’t been feeling well. She’s kind of weak.

Also made calls and emails about my teams coming the next two weeks. Putting the finishing touches on the service projects they’ll be tackling.

Met up with Greta Wilson this afternoon.
g
She’ll be bringing a team in from Kentucky the end of June! Should be a great team!

I took her on a visit of the International Village. Most people are amazed by this area. She was no exception!

J likes the bullfrogs! Me too!

Big ol’ pig skin!

Then over to Azalea to help the kids!

We ran into a problem. I’m too dad gum nice.

I let people borrow our chairs or tables for their events. Unfortunately, I’ve been taken advantage of more than a few times. Today was the worst. We had a mission full of kids and only 5 chairs. I wasn’t happy.
m
Hopefully, everything will be back to normal tomorrow.
Improvise, Adapt and Overcome!

Can you tell what they made the chairs out of?

It’s always great when my kids come back to see me. I’ve known Abisai for about 12 years.
a

Grown up, looking good, doing well in school, planning on college. . . staying out of trouble. When I see things like that I feel like maybe I really am doing something right.

POURED down this evening! Don’t think I’ve ever seen the mission with that much rain ever.
