Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:40 pm

Worked on finances this morning. Always something!

Talked to a representative at Blue Cross Blue Shield about changing our health insurance. We’ve had a family plan, we’re going to split off Ashley (because she’s getting married!) and Jesse onto separate plans.

Turns out we’ll save about $200 a month by doing that. Sounds like a plan!

Jesse and I went to Azalea to work with the kids.

Podcast! Report! Mailout! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:13 pm

Worked on a new podcast today! One of my favorite things to do.
p
I just recently completed my 125th podcast, so I decided it might be a good idea to spend an episode on “What is Verbal Surgery?” It’s a good one! Just click on the title and listen!

Today I completed the calendar assignment by taking the big envelopes over to the Post Office. Sure was glad I didn’t have to stand in line . . . it was packed!

Still working on the Annual Report for my Board meeting Tuesday evening. Just about got that completed. It’s always good to take a broader look at what has been accomplished each year.

Ashley, Jesse and I went to Azalea to work with the kids.
t
t
We also took back all the chairs and tables to the mission that we’d used for our Thanksgiving party.
k
m
n

We’ve been working on projects. This one will eventually be about bees.
p

While we were there, Jesse came into the mission yelling, “Double rainbow!”

r

r

We all rushed out to see one of nature’s most glorious events!

The second rainbow is actually a reflection of the first one. The colors are inverted!

i
I still don’t quite understand how there seems to be a strip of yellow underneath the indigo!

The other clouds were beautiful too!
c
Came home to work on admin duties.

Miles and I worked on his car seat which had come loose from the frame. Couldn’t believe I actually had the exact size washer I needed to fix it! I must be prayed up.

I liked Rashawn’s picture of Ben Franklin.

Calendars!

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:38 pm

For the last couple of days we’ve been working on our annual Calendar project!
t
It’s quite an involved process. First I have to get the supplies.
s

Have to make copies.
c
Laminate.
l
Attach magnets.
m
And put them in the big envelope along with the Christmas newsletter.
n
Takes about 30 hours in all. Ashley usually does most of the work, but we all help!

Got new front tires for the van and an alignment. Nearly $300. Cars aint cheap.
f

K and I went to Clarkston International Bible Church this morning. It’s been a while since we’ve been there since I’ve been preaching out of town and had conferences. I was really disappointed that Pastor Phil didn’t preach. But he did baptize!
c
e
On the way home from church, I saw this kid wearing his short pants. I hope this never becomes the style.
s

Finished up the last of the calendar project. Started working on my annual report for my Board meeting this Tuesday night.

I reckon I should stand by this sign!
t

I wonder why Walmart wanted to sell this number?

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:38 pm

Had a fun time with my kids
a
! Enjoyed taking them out and talking!

Ashley and Miles signed the lease on their new rental house in Clarkston. It’s cool! Miles will move into it in December.

Started working on the Christmas mailout for our supporters!

Got the supplies! And stamps!

I thought this house looked traditionally American.
a
I heard that the main variable for beautiful leaves in the Fall was wind. I believe it! Big difference after the storm blew through!

FBC Duluth Missions Conference

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:13 pm

Had a fun time today with one of my favorite partners: First Baptist Church of Duluth!
t
I enjoyed the testimonies from the team members of the church that had gone to India to do evangelism. They said they had over 5,000 professions of faith! Wow!
m
I had my display for the event and enjoyed sharing a little about what we’re doing in the International Village.
w
g
Came home to do admin duties and rest.

The kids have Thanksgiving Break this week. So they’ll be no after school program.

I’ll be working on my Board Report.

She really enjoyed her spaghetti!

d
Today was the Day of Service for the New Baptist Covenant.

Even though the temperatures where in the low 40s this morning when we first got started, about thirty people showed up for outreach. Amazing!

President Jimmy Carter! Rocks!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:57 pm

I got to meet one of my heroes today: President Jimmy Carter!

I believe that he’s the best ex-President this country has ever had.

His virtual elimination of the Guinea Worm problem in Africa has been almost miraculous.

He has always been a advocate for peace and civil rights and I dig him!

He was the key note speaker this morning at the New Baptist Covenant meeting at Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church.
s
He gave an inspiring presentation on reform. AMEN!
b
After his interview, I got to meet him and Mrs. Carter. Awesome! One more tick off my bucket list!
t
Met up with Jesse for lunch, then over to Marietta for the Cobb County Rock and Gem show.

I love rocks!

Whenever I go to something like this I have to have a strict budget or else I’ll go crazy. Too many super groovy things that I’d love to look at and add to my collection!

So today I got a fossil of the Mosasaur.
m

I like to think of it as dinosaur bones, but Jesse clarified that it’s not actually a dinosaur, since it lived in the water. Close enough for me!
m

Loved all the beautiful rocks. If I can’t have them, I can at least take a picture. Enjoy!
a
r

I enjoyed driving home through Buckhead. Love the buildings!

Do they look like crystals to you?

At home now putting the final touches on the plans for tomorrow morning. I’ll be hosting Outreach Events at ten locations around Chamblee and Doraville.

I have all the equipment, this evening I’m just printing up the maps for each team. Piece of cake!

Pray for our work Saturday!

And ask yourself this question.
s

Beautiful clouds.
