Burger! Zoo!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:58 pm

I enjoyed a quiet morning! Kathy is feeling better and went for a bike ride.
t
I took care of some admin duties including renewing our AAA membership. All our four cars have at least 100,000 miles on them. Pretty much a necessity for us.
aaa
Hooked up my new UPS for my electronics.
u

Had a delicious burger at Red Robin. My favorite!

Then went to Clarkston to pick Kathy up on her bike and off to one of our favorite places: the Atlanta Zoo!
b
z
It’s even better now since our son Miles (Ashley’s husband) works there. It’s cool to get “behind the scenes” info on the animals. Can you believe he got to feed the tiger cubs this morning? How cool is that?

We always love to see the animals, even though it was a bit cold and started to drizzle.
v

We enjoyed the special bird show.
c
o
k
m

Big cats, baby!
t
Pandamonium!
p

The panda cub “Po” is only about three foot long.
p

I liked the elephant wading.
e

Meerkats are always fascinating.
m

Clouded leopard skull. Groovy!
s
I like the animal wrapped around it better.
p

Simba!
s
I love the Swahili signs. Makes me feel like I’m back home in Kenya.
a

Part of the new carnivore exhibit features carnivorous plants. Did you know I’ve kept Venus Fly Traps since I was a little Tim?
v

Miles harvests the bamboo that the animals eat.
e

The Zoo is always improving! Soon we’ll be able to feed Giraffes! Haven’t done that for a long time!
g
We renewed our membership.
z
There are only two bills I don’t mind paying. Zoo memberships and library fines.

I liked this cab design.
c

And this ornamental lettuce.

Podcast! Indian! Merrell!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:47 am

Up early to work on a new podcast. One that I personally need! It’s called “Healing Feeling!” If you’re not feeling well, you will! Check it out. Click on the title and start HEALING!

Kathy is still not feeling well. I’m better, but my reaction to that amoxcillin still left me an itchy beast.

I took her to Global Mall on Friday for some delicious Indian food. I love that culture. I thought this sign was interesting.
m
And this one caught my eye because of the traditional Indian names.
b
Then took her to The Forum to look at new shoes. She got some new Merrells. She’s worn the last pair over ten years!

I loved these pansies!
p
And these interesting clouds.
c
And sunsets!

Moultrie, GA! Civitans! Pastors! Temple BC! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:37 pm

I’ve been out of town the last few days in beautiful S. Georgia, Moultrie to be exact! It’s about 4 hours south of Atlanta, nearly to Florida!

I had a great time with the friendly folks there, in particular Temple Baptist Church that served with us last summer.

I made it down there in good time and had a fun Valentines with the Civitan club. They’re a service organization who helps handicapped kids in particular.
c
c
The next day I enjoyed meeting with a group of the pastors from Moultrie. I had fun sharing with them about our ministry and some ideas on mobilizing people. Several of the pastors expressed interest in working with us this summer. Sounds great.

I enjoyed looking around the historic district.

Not my kind of place.

I liked the moss in the trees. Reminded me of Savannah.

Last night I spoke at Temple Baptist Church. I really enjoyed getting to know more of the folks from that church.

I especially had fun hanging out with the kids.
k
a

I stayed at Bill and Wendy Tucker’s house. The kids enjoyed me taking their pictures. Little sweethearts!
j

h

Got up this morning, packed the car and headed back to the ATL! Groovy!
t
Easy trip. Then met up with Ashley at the mission to help the kids.

The folks from Moultrie also gave me some goodies and coats to give the children. They love ’em!

Ashley told me that her right rear tire was flat, so we pumped it back up and took it over to Tires Plus to get repaired. I was glad we get the road hazard warranty. Hopefully, it’ll be easy to fix.
t
Kathy is still feeling sick. I’m better but not 100%. I did have a reaction to the Amoxcillin I was taking. Broke out in a rash over my chest and back. That’s not zesty. Wasn’t too bad.

Resting now and admin duties. I need to work on some tax stuff.

That fills me with such joy.

Didn’t know they needed a special cleaner for showrooms.
s

The question on everyone’s mind.

Ian & Ruthie! UPS! Printer! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:02 pm

This morning I was rudely woken up by an alarm going off by my head. Every few years the battery in the UPS for my computer wears out. The alarm lets you know that. At least everything is ok.

Cold day today! Birds would have a hard time swimming in that!
b

Met up with Ian and Ruthie North for lunch. Always great to hang out with those cats.
i
Also went over to Bayo’s mission to help him with his printer. Fortunately, it was easy to fix. It just needed new cartridges. Glad it was simple.
c
Also picked up a new UPS to replace my old one for my electronics.
u
Met up with Miles to help the kids at the mission.
m
Kept us busy!

K and I are still on antibiotics. I’m feeling better. She’s still under the weather and running a slight temperature. Pray for her!

Finishing up my admin duties before relaxing with my sweet valentine!

Tomorrow I drive to Moultrie, GA to speak at a church and a conference. It’s a long drive down there. The church came to help us last summer so I’m looking forward to seeing them.

What makes something an “Ultra Classic?”

CIBC! A&M! Coins! Marietta!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:31 pm

Had a fun day!
t

Went to Clarkston International Bible Church.
ci
c

I sit on the “Elmo” row at church. Reminds me of the NoZe Brotherhood at Baylor.
e
Enjoyed Pastor Phil preaching from Joshua on Rahab the harlot.
p
Did you know she’s mentioned more in the Bible than any other woman?

I liked this little baby who sat in front of me.
b

Ate lunch with Ashley & Miles at Madina. Always dig Ethiopian food! I enjoyed my banana from Mexico there.
m
m
a
I took several pictures with me and Ash. I liked her cheek next to mine.
a
Then off to Marietta to see the Coin Show there.
c
t

I like looking at the old coins in particular.

I really enjoy the Roman Era. Did you know that Julius Caesar was born on July 12th?

Know anyone else with that birthday? ME!

I got a silver denari. I think it’s awesome that I can carry something around with me that’s nearly 2,000 years old.
d I have a tiny meteorite from the asteroid belt in my wallet too. They say it’s 4.5 billion years old. Yow!

I got some old 2nd and 3rd century coins and a Morgan silver dollar.

c

m
Beauty!

We enjoyed walking around the square in Marietta. It has some really cool antique stores there.

I liked this old key.
k
Reminded me of Extremely Close and Incredibly Loud movie yesterday.

And old trains! Groovy! I liked the train station too.
t
s

I love roots like these.
r

Dropped A&M off at the cottage and came home to check on Kathy. We haven’t been feeling well. She’s worse than me. We’re both on meds now.

Picked up a new heater for one of my fish tanks.
h
And a foot long chili dog for Kathy. She seemed to like it.

Admin duties now and resting.

What’s your favorite morph suit?

Cold! Movie!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:12 pm

Man! It’s cold in Georgia tonight! Just looked and it said 25 degrees and dropping! YOW!
c
Had a fun day with Kathy today. We’re both still a bit under the weather. We’re on antibiotics now. I like the pink pill.
p
We went to see a movie. I really enjoyed Extremely Close and Incredibly Loud. Good father-son relationship show.

I thought this advertisement at the movie theater was funny.
s

Had some pizza on the way home. Fun date day.

Admin duties now and rest!

I liked this sticker.
s

And pansies!

Fish! Burgers!

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:54 pm

Cleaned up the fish tanks today.
f
Always a thrill a minute.

Kathy’s not feeling well. I’m still a bit weak too. Felt like we needed a good hamburger from Red Robin. Always cheers me up.
t
Admin duties and resting now.

Podcast! Groceries! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:54 pm

This morning I worked on a new podcast! Oh, yeah!

Since it’s nearly Valentines, I had a love theme. In fact it’s called Love SECRETS! I think you’ll really love it! Just click on the title!

My friends at T&G finished working on Miles’ truck.
tg

Glad to see it running right again.
m
Also got some black metal paint to shoot the hood to make it look better.
Went to Walmart to pick up the groceries and to get my sweet Kathy (who’s not feeling well today) a few little surprises.
r

Been eating a lot of sandwiches lately . . .
s

Picked up Ashley to work with the kids at the mission.

Taxes! Bank! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:36 pm

Worked on my taxes this morning.
ta
Man, that’ll wake you up with a smile on your face.

I’m ready to send them off to the guy that actually writes them up. Peachtree actually specialize in working with ministers and non-profits.

Gave myself a haircut. Clean cut, all American, baby!
t
Ashley and I went to the bank today.
b
She’s closing her Cummins’ accounts. She’s a big girl now!

I got the new Dr. Dog album (Be the Void) downloaded last night. One of the songs is Big Girl. I was singing that as I met up with Ash.

Over to the mission to help with the kids. SO glad I have Ash and Miles to help me!
m
a

I was teaching a couple of the kids some sleight of hand stuff. Did you know I like coin magic?

Here’s probably the worst magic trick ever. Rashawn asks, “Which hand is the coin in?”
r
Talk about laugh out loud!

Kathy and I enjoyed watching Life in a Day this evening. GREAT show!

Tires! Bros! Bags! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:34 pm

Got Miles’ car some new tires.
g
t

Then took it next door to T&G to work on the radiator. Nothing’s cheap!

Met up with my brothers Tito and Lester for lunch.
tl
Had a good time talking with them about their church.

Then up to Alpharetta and the North American Mission Board to pick up some book bags for the kids. Great to see Cindy.
c

She helps me a lot with things for the children that the Board doesn’t need.

Went to the bookstore for a few minutes before going to the mission. I found this title intriguing.
b

I found myself asking, “What body part are you, then?”

Always great to see Ashley and Miles.
m
r

The kids loved those backpacks! They went dad gum crazy.

b
r
e

My first valentine.
j

Good group studying English at the mission.

k
p

Kathy and I enjoyed watching the Mentalist, my favorite show, this evening.

Admin duties now.

I checked out Discover Mills mall for a few minutes while waiting for Tito and Lester. Here’s some things that made me look twice.

This is called “mini me.”
mm

I think I made need to get this sign for my car.
c

Gotta wonder about who would wear this.
k

Almost bought this. But brains are better than hearts. At least in a jello mold.
h

I reckon this could be true for some.
c

I don’t care how smart your dog is. I wouldn’t let him drive.
d

I liked Fabiola’s nails.
f

Beautiful full moon on the way home.
