Tim A. Cummins @ 10:09 pm

We had about 1 1/2″ of rain yesterday. Excellent!
r

Worked on a new podcast this morning! WOOT!
p
It’s a new favorite. Check out “All IN, Now!”
t
Spent the rest of the morning getting my taxes together. Still working on the utility bills for my housing allowance. No fast way to do it.

J and I had a fun lunch together. We checked out Barnes and Noble and Best Buy before we went to the mission at Huntington Ridge. We had a meeting set up with the director there, Eduardo Zamora.
z
There are a lot of good things happening at that complex! PTL for him and Sheila!

Went to Azalea to help the kids with their homework. Most of the projects were done so it wasn’t too busy.
a
Great to have Merrimeth helping us!
m

Team Prep! Rob! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:48 pm

Had a fun and really productive day today!

We have a big team coming in from FBC Naples in March. They’re a performance team which means setting up venues for them to sing in. That’s easier said than done! It was great to see my friend Rob Martin with Mobilizing Students. He’s a terrific partner!
r

We enjoyed eating at Panang to get our strength up!

Then off to N. Peachtree Baptist Church to talk to the director of their school. Looks like that’s a go!

Over to speak with my friends at the Buford Highway Farmer’s Market. They seem optimistic that it’ll work out there as well.

And even Plaza Fiesta thought it would be good! We’ll get confirmation of all that on Monday after they’ve talked with their managers.

We also spent time on the phone and emailing partners at Providence Christian Academy and City of Refuge. It’ll be great to have all that set up. An nice variety of locations, PLUS singing at the missions for three nights. Excellent!

POWERFUL rain storm blew through Atlanta today! Actually blew cars over! Rained like crazy. We hung out at Plaza Fiesta till most of it passed over. Weather men said it blew through at 65 mph! Yow!
s

It blew water into Plaza Fiesta!
w
Jesse bought me an elephant that one of the wise men rode to see baby Jesus. I’ve wanted this for a couple of years! THANKS, Jesse!
e
We dropped Rob off at the church then the kids agreed to go with me to a bookstore that has lots of used books. Also smells like cats so they’re not too crazy about that. Me either. I thought these pictures were cool.
t
c

Who doesn’t need this?
b

Then over to the mission to help the kids with their homework.
r
j
a

a

I helped Jhoan and Mohosana with a Canadian exploration project. Ashley worked with the 5th graders on “Mystery Matter.” The kids did great.
m

Rained a lot at the mission!
r

Big news! I got us a new pencil sharpener! I got the heaviest duty one they had. The other one really irritated me because it just didn’t work well! It’s huge!
p

Drove home in the rain. Not too heavy!

Admin duties now. And rest. Good to get so much done!

I liked this pigeon toy!
p
And this airplane!
a

I thought this sign was funny. Not exactly sure why.

PCBC Missions Conference!

Tim A. Cummins @ 1:04 am

Today Kathy and I met up with Ashley at the Peachtree Corners Baptist Church Missions Conference!
c
p
We were both dressed up in our Bengali outfits. Mine is called a Kurta.
k
We had a fun time meeting with people who visited our booth.
b
k
Ashley went to get some breakfast during one of the breaks. Her battery went dead and I had to go help her jump off the car. Glad it started right up!
c
It was great to hear Dr. Bruce Wilkinson speak!
c
b
The church pledged over $650,000 to missions! Wow!

I liked the decorations in the sanctuary.
f

I enjoyed getting to know the other missionaries.
j
I spoke on the Prodigal Son this evening. I did it in an African voice. Then I told the story of my friend Mohosana getting lost. I thought it was a powerful one-two punch. Most everyone also signed up to help us do outreach in March. AMEN!

PCBC! Copies! Newsletter! Podcast!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:01 pm

Went over to Peachtree Corners Baptist Church today! I set up my display for the conference.
p
pp
Always enjoy seeing good friends.
b
We had a good prayer time with the other missionaries.
c
Went to make copies for one of our pages for the newsletter. Every year in the February edition we give the people that haven’t supported our ministry the chance to stop receiving the newsletter.
s
That keeps our prices for the postage as low as possible and keeps only the interested people on the list.

Worked on my newsletter. It’s a good one!

Laid out the publication and sent it over to my good friend Joel Harrison who is with the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association who makes the copies for us to mail out. THANKS AGAIN for that!

While Kathy and Jesse went for a walk, I recorded a new podcast! Always fun!
p
This is a great edition which I call “Glass Walls!” Do you ever confine yourself? You hold the key to freedom!
t
Working on my other admin duties.

Looking forward to resting. I slept better last night. PTL for that!

Family! Labels! Fellowship!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:21 pm

Had a fun family day today!
a
We enjoyed lunch with Ashley and Jesse!
k
Then we all worked together to determine our newsletter list. Every year we go through our donors to see if they responded to our newsletters that year. If we haven’t heard from a supporter for a whole year, we send them a form asking them to verify they want to be on the list. If they don’t mail the little form back in, we stop sending them the newsletter. Of course many people prefer to read it on line which they always have access to!

That helps to keep the price of stamps and making copies as low as possible.

We enjoyed visiting with some of our favorite Bengali families this evening. It’s always a good time seeing “my” kids as well as their parents.

Dean! Jacket! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:50 pm

Had a fun time hanging out with Dean Osuch today! He’s a pastor from Peachtree Corners Baptist Church, where I’ll be speaking this weekend.
d
We shared with him about what his teams will be doing for Outreach in March. Always great to have churches mobilize!

Spent part of the afternoon looking for a new jacket for Jesse. He tore his old one.

I like his new one a lot!
j
Of course Ashley always looks fabulous!

Worked with the kids at the mission. I cleaned the game room up and helped with homework.
t
j
a

I also told the creation story. Pray for this outreach to the kids. They have a hard time sitting still for even five minutes.
a
Admin duties now.

We’ll be working on our newsletter this weekend as well as the conference at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church.

I thought this tiny tent was cute. I guess a baby could fit in it!

Worked on a new podcast this morning!
p[

I always enjoy thatt!

I’ve had some really great response lately from listeners. That’s keeps me fired up about doing them!

Had a good lunch with Jesse and Kathy.

Dropped them off and went to Walmart to do the grocery shopping.

Silly Jose.

We put the finishing touches on the Solar System project.
s

I think they turned out very well and I hope they all make an A!

Ashley and I had a meeting after the kids went home to discuss some teams coming into town. The logistics get tricky and we have to make sure that we’re all on the same page with the schedules.

Stopped for grilled chicken on the way home.

Admin duties now.

Beautiful sunset at the mission.
