Cold! Crown! Errands! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:43 pm

Super cold this morning. Down to 19 degrees.
s

I keep sugar water in the hummingbird feeders 365 days a year. Small insects use it as a food source.
s
I find all of it interesting.

It’s hard to keep it above 60 in my room.
s
These type of heaters do well and are safe.
s

Chilly.
s

This morning I worked on social media.
s
Posted my version of sermon notes onto my Twitter feed. Over 80,000 followers.

Went to the dentist!
s
My temporary crown fell off. I went back today to get it put back in.
s
s

Believe it or not, later today it came loose again. Bahd luck. I may try and go back tomorrow. What a drag.

Edited and uploaded the video I shot this weekend to my You Tube account. Burned the dvd and took it over to FBC Mountain Park.

GREAT to see Pastor Paul and Bro. Richard King today! I’ll be speaking there in February.

Also talked to them about our recent big auto and dental bills. They help us from time to time with benevolence gifts.
s
What a blessing this church has been to our family!

Went by the bank to deposit money.
s
Did the shopping for some family groceries.
s

Sorted out Kathy’s meds. Went to the pharmacist to get the meds she needed reordered.
s

It’s very complicated.
s

Went by the office to pick up the mail.
s

Had a good time working with the kids at the mission. We are working on 8x tables this week.

Beautiful sunset. I loved the progression of colors throughout the shoot.

Westside! Skidaway Island! Al Madina! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:02 pm

K and I had a fun time at Westside Baptist on Sunday. Someone was really in a hurry to get to church, I reckon.
s
s
s

Pastor Ben talked about the blessings of obedience.
s

One little girl accepted Jesus.
s
Rested the rest of the day. Needed it. My voice was pretty rough after the big teams on Saturday.

I had fun watering my plants. Over 40 different types of succulents.
s
s
d
s

Kathy came with me Monday morning to FBC Doraville. It’s great to have her there to help with sweet baby P.
s

Always fun to brief the teams! Today we talked about the relationship between Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
s

I get in my kurta and turban for the talk about Hinduism.
s

Part of the Dedication Day is passing the baton and saying, “It’s up to ME!”
s
After our prayer time, the folks sign the Landing Pad.
s

Went on safari to Al Madina to see a Muslim bookstore and grocery and eat schwarmas.
s
s
s

Then to the missions!
s
s

They did a great job with the kids.

Rest! Skidaway! Mtn Park!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:54 pm

Friday was a rest day for me. I knew Saturday would be intense.

Enjoyed a quiet, rainy day.
s
s
Up early Saturday morning to prep the room for the last minute changes.

We have Skidaway Island Baptist Church from Savannah, GA in town today and Monday.
s
GREAT to be with Ashley back doing the show!
s

Kathy helped us out watching the baby. What a Capital P Blessing she is.

d

Took the Savannah team to the Buford Highway Farmers Market.
d
d
Rushed back to the church to brief our team from FBC Mountain Park. The kids from the Disciple Now conference.
s
s
s

Had a fun time briefing them.

Then on to five locations. Used to be really difficult. Now we just give them the address and they put it in their gps. Groovy, baby.

Ashley, the baby and Kathy worked our way around the locations making sure everyone was doing well. Ashley takes pictures while I shoot video. I shoot stills, too.
d
d
s

The baby is such a joy.
d
Today was the first day that she looked at me and smiled! Beauty.

I took my girls out to eat Chinese food.

Took some subs to Jesse. He wasn’t feeling well.

Back to the church to clean up. There were musical instruments everywhere. After the singing, I told them to put the instruments under their seats. I should have had them pass them to the end of the row and collected them. My bad.

I have things on display that I don’t want left out in the open. Fragile, valuable things. So I went back to make sure that sort of stuff was put up.

At home working on admin duties. K is already asleep.

Cool cirrus clouds.

It’s a gooder!

Made copies of Power Prayer on golden keys for team leaders that work with us.
s
s

I include a short bio about me, contents and a billion dollars.

s

s

Went by T&G, my mechanics, to get my brake light fixed and to take pictures of my car bills over the last year.
s

I’ll be calling on supporting churches to see if they can help with some of this financial burden.,

Went to Walmart for shopping.
s

Dollar Tree to pick up supplies for the events on Saturday.
s
s
s
Mixed up my bird food.
s

Podcast! Hari! Recon! Mission!q

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:01 pm

Enjoyed one of my favorite things: Recording!
d

I had a great time making “Untitled.” As soon as we give any individual or situation a title, we will immediately have a reaction. Just click on the title and GROOVE!

Part of my admin duties tonight is to upload the edition and put the link on FB.

We had a good meeting with our new CPA this morning, Hari.

I think he can help us switch our financial system over to Quikbooks. It’ll be worth the hassle in the long term.

Ash, Penelope and I went for Thai food for lunch. Excellent.
s

We made the rounds of ten different apartment complexes in preparation for the teams coming this weekend.
s
Alan is helping us clean out and sort the things in our closet. GRACIAS!
s
Then over to the mission to work with the kids.
s
s

Tomorrow is the first of our competition with the multiplication tables.
s

Kids are pretty psyched up about it.

Crown! Mission! Ash and P!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:59 pm

Last week, I was chewing a muffin and noticed something really hard in it. Turned out to be one of my crowns.

I went to the dentist this morning. He’s really good. Highly recommend him.
s

I was hoping he would be able to reglue the crown.
s
He said it wasn’t possible, because it was the metal that had broken off, not just the crown.

s
They tried to make an impression for my new crown, but my gums bled too much so he wasn’t able to. I’ll go back in a couple of weeks to get the impression for the replacement crown, and then a couple more weeks to get the new one installed.

Cost nearly $750. Pray for our finances. We have really been hit with big car and dental bills recently.

I renewed our incorporation with the State of Georgia.
s

Ordered more labels.
s

Worked with the kids at the mission.
s
Never too much Ashley!
s
Penelope was there. Great to see her!
s

Helped kids with homework. Taught them the analog clock. Kind of ridiculous, but I don’t say that to the kids.

Beautiful colors.
s

Lovely, happy moon.

Run! Podcast! Mission! J!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:25 pm

Down into the 20s last night and tonight. Hard on the animals.

Bird bath frozen again.
s

I had an R&R day today! For most that means “Rest and Relax.” For me it always means “Run and Record!”

I haven’t run for a few weeks due to an injury.
s
I hurt the bottom of my foot. Those tendons get inflamed called Plantar Fasciitis. Apparently, it’s common with runners and people who stand up a lot. Double whammy for me.

I did an easy 2.63 mile route. It was in the 30s, but sunny and felt fine.
s

Always something beautiful to see.
s
s
Frozen spots.
s
s

This always makes me feel hopeful.
s
But scared for the plants that start to bud out because of the warm weather and then get clobbered by the freezes. The Pink Magnolia trees are especially prone to this.

Vacuumed the house when I got home.
s

Had fun recording a new podcast this morning!

Woot! Do you ever worry about the future? All those suppositions, planted in a fertile field of the imagination.

Jump into “Bed of Supposes!”

Uploaded the edition.
s

Posted on Facebook.

Ate a sub and read an article in Wired magazine about Star Wars. I liked the weapons and helmets.

s

This is the gun that I use when I play Battlefont. It’s all based on Star Wars.
s
It’s called the E-11. Blaster rifle. Fun.

Checked on the mail at the church. Ashley had already picked it up. Not surprising.
s

Worked with the kids at the mission!
s
s
s

Great to have Ashley back!
s
I brought them doughnuts.
s

Practicing the 7X tables.
s
We are having a series of competitions each week. The winners pick their prizes from some Christmas gifts I had left over.

Noice!
s

Deposited checks. Amen!
s

Had a fun supper with Jesse! Always good!
d
Cheap gas on the way home.
s

Watched some Golden Globes with K. Also Death in Paradise—which I just found out was the top drama show on TV in the UK! Huh! It’s definitely some great writing.

Admin duties now. Another cold night in the ATL! Into the 20s again!

I felt like I was on safari when I saw these vultures with a dead opossum.
s

I laid out some rat traps this morning.
s
I heard one rodent scurry last week. I did trap one mouse yesterday. Perhaps there will be no more. Last year I had zero. I think that was because of having Mowgli chase all the scurrying things out of the back yard!

My crows were hungry.
s
Make up your mind.
s

Really cool and unusual clouds today.

Mooglie! Westside! Shopping!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:11 pm

We enjoyed having our granddog over this weekend.
w

Jesse came by to visit. Equals awesome!
s

Ash, Miles and Penelope went to Dublin to see Miles’ grandfather. They got back too late to pick their sweet little furbaby.

K and I enjoyed Westside BC this morning.
s
s

Pastor Ben continued his series on “No talk, Just action!” with his third character, Mary.
s

K and I enjoyed watching Death in Paradise together.

Went to Walmart to do the grocery shopping.
s

Golden Globes with K and more Death in Paradise. They killed off the detective of the first two seasons in the first episode of the third season. We were upset by that! British TV can really kill off major players!

Admin duties now.

KAP! Mooglie!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:05 pm

Friday, I had a fun lunch with Kathy, Ashley and Penelope.
s

Never too much girl time!
s

I always love coming to Clarkston because of the languages.
s

Saturday, we’ve watched Mooglie for Ash and Miles and P. They went to visit Grandad in Dublin.

K and I had a good lunch together. Then went to Avondale Station to go to Odd’s End. Cool little shop.
s
s

The tree house/raptor blind is just about gone. The structure is actually holding the two small trees up.
s
s
Watched Ex Machina with K. I liked it.

Admin duties now.

Jesse just got here.

Don’t ever forget.
s
Don’t see this every day.
s

I like lichens.
s
Grandaughter’s shop.

Podcast! KAP! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:43 pm

I always love to record! Yeah, baby!

s
Are you afraid to make mistakes? That fear freezes people up. Warm up with Verbal Surgery -354- “Error Terror.”
s
s
Ashley came over with Penelope.
s
Never too much A&P!
s

Kathy is always great to have around. She’s so good with babies.

Worked with the kids at the mission. Always good.
s
s

They seem to be working pretty hard.
s

Enjoyed supper with Ian and Jack North! Fantastic to see them.

Jesse and Kathy spent the afternoon together. Jesse’s doctor is very pleased with his progress.
