Tim A. Cummins @ 11:02 pm

Another poem I’m working on.

Studied. Shocking news.

Link on Facebook.

Had a great time with the girls!

We used to call Ashley “Pico” when she was little.

My kids are AWESOME!

Beautiful sunset.

We got our W2s in today.

Started working on plans for a trip to the California and Nevada.

Birmingham! Zoo! Antiques! 1.10.10

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:51 pm

Studied. You guessed it.

Had a fun chat with my buddy Anthony!

Kathy and I really liked this place.

Super cold this morning. 26!

Went to the Zoo!

Weird, right?

I liked the art on the wall at the Mexican Lindo restaurant we ate at.

I shot a series on the animals of the carousel at the zoo.

This reminded me of home.

Flamingoes were my favorite today. They were super close.

I dig animals.

Everything is beautiful to me.

Vulcan.

Went to look at Antique stuff in Leeds. I liked the figurines. I shot these all in Portrait mode which gives a distinctive Depth of field. PLUS, when you upload them to Facebook it can create a 3D image. How groovy is that?

So I’m always looking for good depth of field shots.

I remember this book from the early 70s. I learned a lot of guitar from this book.

I found these glasses at the zoo. I picked them up for Penelope. But I think they look pretty good on me.

Unpacked the car.

Admin duties now. I love having my Mac so I can see up with stuff when I’m on the road. Way better than just trying to do it with my iPhone.

Car! Meadowbrook! 1.9.19

Studied Español!

Working on Dylan Thomas poem, “The force that drives the green fuse.”

Washed my car before the trip.

Blew the leaves out of the garage and off the driveway.

Went on safari to Birmingham, AL to speak at Meadowbrook BC.

I’ve never seen a black toilet before.

I spoke at the Wednesday evening service for the youth.

Fun time with some great kids. Looking forward to seeing them soon on a mission trip to the ATL!

Admin duties now.

Fun to have my Mac Air with me!

Cleaned my shoes yesterday. Gave them a shot of paint last night. Not perfect, but definitely whiter.

Recorded an episode of VS this morning. I had planned to be with my friend Jon Paul. He was sick, so we’ll have to try again.

Helped the kids at the mission.

Went the church to check on the mail as well as get supplies from our storage area for the gig tomorrow in Birmingham, AL.

Listened to Spanish/English sermons on the way to the mission and home.

Played some Black Ops 4.

The screens on my phone.

Tire! Azalea! 1.7.19

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:50 pm

Studied. Yeah. You know the drill.

Talked to the Cars for Kids group to get the Altima donation going. They had my phone number wrong, so I couldn’t access the online account.

I got Kathy’s seat to move forward. Just had to keep jiggling the switch.

Woke up with a text that Kathy’s rear driver’s side tire was going flat. It was about 30 pounds low.

Took around 20 minutes for my little compressor to do that. But she worked!

I’m getting back into my routine of study habits. I’ve continued to work on grammar in the mornings, but I haven’t had the chance to listen Tito’s sermons or the Madrid radio. I’ve spent hours back now. Including for an hour on my bike.

I took the Explorer with the leaking tire over to New Peachtree Tire. He’s the owner. He actually plugged a tire for me. Pretty impressed with that.

I put gas in K’s truck.

Ate lunch at Taco Veloz. I always think of Anthony Bourdain who shot an episode of his show in this location.

Went by FBC Doraville to pick up checks. AMEN!

To Bank of America to get the funds in the account.

Went to the mission. This was parked next to me.

Big crowd of kids came through the mission today.

The concrete jungle.

Welcome to Atlanta.

If Mr. Google took me home this way, I hate to think what the other routes were like. I actually took a right at that first overpass in the distance about 1/2 mile away.

Listened to Tito’s sermon on the way home and way to the mission.

Cleaned my fish tank when I got home.

Played some Black Ops 4.

Added to my Twitter feed. Just noticed that it had run out of posts. I’m usually way ahead. I added about two weeks worth this evening. The tweets are my version of sermon notes.

Westside! Bike! 1.6.18

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:58 pm

Studied Spanish this morning. Surprise!

Went to Westside.

Pastor Ben spoke about tithing.

God with us.

AMAZING weather!

Enjoying the book, “Stealing Fire.”
null

Went for a bike ride.

I thought the shadow made this look really weird.

Beauty is everywhere.

Raked my porch area.

Interesting designs.

Scrubbed my birdbaths.

And my shoes.

About three inches of leaves. They were still wet and super heavy.

St. Francis was about covered up.

Parts from the hornet’s nest.

Started playing Black Ops 4. Astonishing multiplayer experience.

Marcus! Amit! Girls! 1.5.19

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:24 am

Studied, POR SUPESTO!

Worked on getting my weather station running again.

Some type of battery issue between the transmitter and receiver.

As part of the 2019 Contact Resolution, I shoot for contacting at least one friend a day. Today I did two, Marcus Lewis in Derby, and Amit Badiani in Leicester, UK. Such dear friends. Great to talk with them.

Recorded an episode of Verbal Surgery called, “Polite Awakening.” It’s excellent.

Paid bills.

The chips in both my debit and credit cards malfunctioned this month. I wonder if the MARTA scanning affected them? So I had to get new cards. I have things tied for automatic payment with the credit card. I had to call Geico and get that squared away, as well as for taking the Nissan Altima off the insurance.

Then got the process started for getting the Altima donated for the last part of her life.

The trash pickup has been on weird schedules.

Bills in the mail.

Went for a 6.73 mile bike ride. Absolutely fantastic time.

Parts of the hornet’s nest they abandoned keep falling off.

Over 4.75 inches of rain over the last three days.

Fabulous time with the girls this evening. I got them on a call with Nana in Georgetown.

I loved the little food set I got Penelope.

We talked to Nana using Facebook Messenger.

Ashley picked them up around 10pm. I had rocked them both to sleep and was watching Super Why on Netflix.

Podcast! Anthony! 1.4.19

Tim A. Cummins @ 4:24 pm

Studied. Do I really need to say it?

Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery. Always one of my favorite things: listening to myself talk.

Chatted with my best friend, who is currently in Morocco.

Had this visitor while I was recording.

Released Verbal Surgery -624- “Love Lens”

We see everything through filters. Choose yours wisely!

Uploaded to my server.

Link on Facebook.

I’m not working on Swahili any more because the English answers were so bad. It was like I was having to memorize a weird form of English in order to continue moving forward. I continued to report the mistakes. I’ve had at least ten of my answers now considered “correct.”

Tim Ferris is an interesting writer. I liked him mentioning David Lynch.

A short excerpt from a book I’ve just started reading, Stealing Fire.

Been playing Black Ops 4 multiplayer mode. It’s always rough when you start a new game and everyone has way better weapons than you do. C’est la vie!

I actually wrote this Saturday morning when I thought I had done it last night!

Podcast! Groceries! Bank! 1.3.19

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:46 pm

Studied. Duh.

Had a talk with my buddy Ben Birdsong. K and I will be going to Birmingham for a night to speak with the students there. Get them fired up about coming to Atlanta for the mission trip. Here’s some details.

Continued with my Contact Resolution to call people. Left voice mail with some friends.

Recorded an episode of Verbal Surgery called “Tough Gloves.”

Went to Walmart to do the shopping. Always interesting things to see.

Under the category of “No-one ever went broke underestimating the taste of Americans.”

Nearly $200 today.

I liked the sound of this.

Does it all.

Deposited checks into the bank. Amen. Talked about a financial question I had with the chairman of our board. Glad to get the situation figured out.

Took the Mercury over to T&G to let them diagnose a Check Engine light.

My buddy Ben sent me a follow-up email.

Worked on trying the Portrait Mode of the iPhone. When it’s shot that way, you can post it as 3D on Facebook.

Selfies in that mode. You have to turn the phone around so you can’t see yourself to use the correct lenses.

Looked at my microscope. I couldn’t find the adaptor for the light.

All the memorizing poetry is rubbing off on me.

Played God of War. Gorgeous world.

Title! Joel! 1.2.19

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:32 am

I played some games. I loved the lava effects.

Took some pictures of objects on my desk.

My buddy Anthony said I should read this book.

I just bought and had it downloaded to my iPhone. Living in the future, baby.

This is the milage on the car Jesse just got.

Called T&G to see about bringing the Mercury into take a look at the Check Engine light that has come on. We’ll take it on on Friday.

Sent a letter to my friend Jouvens. I actually included two SASE to he can let me know if he gets released deported.

I studied. I learned.

Spent most of my morning working on getting the title for the car that was just donated to our ministry. It’s a Mercury Grand Marquis. Typical cop car.

The title place as only about ten minutes away.

Got through the line at light speed. Hardly anyone there. What a blessing!
Got the license plate, too.

I saw my friend Joel Harrison at the title place. We had a good talk about missions.

I told a friend of mine about some Banksy documentaries he wasn’t aware of.

I saw this piece of his live in Palestine. It’s big.

Rainy day.

Ashley came over to work on laundry. I was at the Tag office most of the time they were at the house. The girls both slept.
Went to El Torerro.
This picture reminds me of lines from “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night” Dylan Thomas,

“Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning,
They do not go gentle into that good night.”

I’m following up on my resolution to contact people. Tonight I talked with Michael Perez in the Philippines and Bob Burns in Scotland. The internet wasn’t great, but it was still workable.
