Dad’s Funeral! Austin!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:51 pm

Thursday morning, Kathy and I met up with Miles, Ashley and Penelope at FBC Doraville to get on board the Marta, travel to the airport and fly to Austin.

My Mom and cousin Brandon picked us up and took us to Georgetown, TX where we met up with Jesse. He had come down to several days earlier in order to be there for my Mom’s birthday party. Penelope was the hit of the show.

We had great family times!

Also went on Safari to Austin to check out Nature’s Treasures–a terrific rock shop.

I think this is the biggest geode I’ve ever seen.

Then to Switched On to see some vintage synthesizers.

Ate pizza at Home Slice, some of the best I’ve ever had.

Always cool street art in Austin. I was a part of that scene in the 80s.

Never seen this before.

Later, we got caught in traffic from people who had been in Austin marching.

We went to Georgetown for my Dad’s funeral.

I saw many life long friends there.

The service was very meaningful, and actually funny! Dad would have loved it.

I love spending time with Penelope.

She pushed this chair around in the airport.

I watched some of the inauguration.

I will pray for our new president.

Went back to the airport in Austin on Sunday. Unfortunately, severe weather in the Atlanta are put us REALLY late getting home last night. We didn’t get home till around 3am. Ouch. I had been coughing the last few days, and had a bad headache last night and today. Feel pretty puny today.

Had lunch with Jesse and Kathy, then went back to bed. Still not feeling well.

Admin duties now.

Painted a chair for Kathy before we left.

Beautiful clouds.

Sunsets!

Never forget.
