Portuguese! Carl! Tire! Mission! David!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:31 pm

Studied Portuguese this morning. Go, brain!

Lotta days straight!
Interesting who follows me on Twitter!

Jesse showed me his 3D puzzle that his friend printed for him. Groovy!
Got groceries at Walmart. Also picked up a commando saw. I’m hoping to use it to trim some branches. Not overly optimistic.
Got food for the birds and raccoons.

Lots of recycle. I got ride of the drains that Ashley’s dog had chewed up.

Mixed up sugar water for the hummingbirds.

I always enjoy seeing those little guys out my window.

I liked this little mushroom I saw while I was cleaning the bird feeders.

Early this morning I went to Tires Plus to get the tire chosen so they could fix Ashley’s truck. I was glad to get her tire fixed!

Then went to Providence Christian Academy to meet with my good friend Carl Barrington.

He has been a wonderful support to our family and to Whirlwind Missions. I honestly don’t think there would have been a Whirlwind without Carl. He was there for me in some of the lowest periods of my life. He and his wife, Pat have been enormous help to us. It was great to see him and hear of the new adventures starting in his life! Sure do love them!

Went to the missions to help the kids. There were a LOT. Fortunately, I had some of the older kids to help the younger ones. Ashley had a doctor’s appoinment today. Fun with the kids!

Went by the church to get an envelope with a key for our team coming in late Friday night. Looking forward to working with Ben Birdsong this Saturday. He’s another of my favorites!

I heard from my friend David Hill as I was leaving the mission!GREAT to see friends!

He’s a NoZe Brother from Baylor that I’ve known for over 20 years! He was in the ATL to see family. The timing worked out perfectly and the restaurant was near Chamblee!

He has a truly beautiful family!

Their aunts took me out to eat, too! What a blessing. The food was delicious!

What a wonderful way to end a super cool day.

Portuguese! Recording! Research! A&P! Blowout!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:40 pm

Studied Portuguese early this morning. Brain gets sharper!

Recorded a new podcast! “Traction Attraction” has lots of solid tips for getting ahead! My best shows are always the ones where I’m really preaching to myself!

Did research on Meet Ups in Atlanta. Especially those where I think people might be interested in working with me.
Went to Walmart to get popcicles for the kids at the mission. I don’t think I’ll ever look at Tiki torches in quite the same way.
Nazis in the USA. WHAT?!
Walmart is still remodeling the produce section after their little fire.
Helped the kids at the mission.
Room full! It was nearly 100 degrees outside with the high humidity. I kept the doors closed and shut the blinds. Actually ran the AC. First time in twenty years! Yesterday, I used the fans and it was so hot, plus I could hardly hear many of the kids. They talk really softly.
Penelope was having a blast with Brian!
Penelope actually gave me a name! She was calling me “Pop Pop,” which is what Kathy calls me when Penelope is at our house.

She also picked up a squeal from a little boy she was with last week. Man, she got really loud! Not sure where she could get that volume from.

On the way home from the mission, we had a tire blow out! It was the same tire that we plugged, then patched. Fortunately, there was a safe place to pull over.
THANK YOU, for keeping us safe, Lord!

Miles came over to where we were to get the girls. I waited for the tow truck.

While I was there, I studied Portuguese some more. I think this is my highest score–108!

I had AAA come over to tow the truck to my tire guy. Couldn’t believe when we got there that they were on vacation till the 21st! Ay caramba! So we took it to Tires Plus instead. They should be ok with replacing a tire.

Portuguese! Follow up! Bike! Bank! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:28 pm

Studied Portuguese early this morning. It marks four months straight!

Wrote follow up letters to the physical therapists.
Uploaded a new edition of Verbal Surgery!

Rode my bike 12.83 miles. Great way to burn off stress.
Went by the office to drop off the musical instruments I used on Sunday at Westside. Also picked up checks to deposit into the Whirlwind Missions account. Financially we are very tight right now. PLEASE PRAY for the generosity of our supporters to help me overflow with hope!

Now that we have the insurance for the mission squared away, we can start the after school program. Started off slow, then I had a room full of kids!
We’re going to have a popcycle party tomorrow! Fun and cheap and the kids love ’em!

Portuguese! Podcast! Physio! Research!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:19 pm

Studied Portuguese? Surprised?

Recorded a new podcast! LOVE this one called “Coconut Sun Screen!” It’ll release in a week or so.

Working on what stain/perserver to put on my deck and how long it takes to dry and cure. Looks like we’ll need four days of dry weather. Don’t see that happening any time soon!

Pretty expensive stuff. It’s what I got last time. I’ve gotten about six years out of it.

Did research on the Physical Therapists in the area. Went to four and gave them material about my Pain Seminar.

Rained really hard in my area.
Gassed up my car.
Interesting clouds forming over the asphault.

Lots of mushrooms sprouting.

Did the grocery shopping. Produce was cordoned off because of a fire. MOST of what I get is in this area. Dang.

Hmmm.

Portuguese! K’s Test! Deck!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:30 pm

This morning I studied Portuguese! I’m almost to four months straight!

Worked on verbs.

I helped Kathy take her transportation test for the day care today. We worked together for over 2.5 hours.

I took her for lunch, then we came back and I worked on the deck. First job was to move everything off it. Plants, chairs, table.

I used the pressure washer first.
Then went to the Dollar Tree to get bleach.
We used wire brushes and stiff brooms and bleach to clean the surfaces.

I’ll rinse it off later. The bleach is still working on the mildew. We have to have three days of completely dry weather before we use the stain/paint on the surface. Then it should look really good!

My hands and arms are burning from using that bleach. We had gloves on, but it still gets on you.

Filled up all my bird feeders.
Watered my plants.

My carnivores.

African Violets and succulents.

How many people do you know who can say this?

Portuguese! Physical Therapy Clinics! Atomic Blond! Bike!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:09 pm

This morning I worked on Portuguese sports terms.

Also worked on a list of verbs.

Got confirmation that we have insurance coverage at Azalea Place for Whirlwind Missions. Finally! I’ll start the after school program next week.

I uploaded a new version of Verbal Surgery -479-“Ear Steering!” Tweak the voice inside your head with this awesome episode!

Just click on the title and GROOVE!

Link on Facebook.

I visited a number of Physical Therapy places. Working on getting clients for my new business. I’m offering a free pain seminar.

Also went by a Senior Living place. They can use this information too!

Went to see Atomic Blond! I liked it. Amazing fight scenes.

Went by Xfinity to get a new TV box. This one will let me get HBO.

Went for a 12.75 mile bike ride. Saw some amazing mushrooms!

John! Ashley/Penelope! Portuguese!

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:46 pm

Rained nearly 2.5″ yesterday!

Studied Portuguese this morning. Sick of hearing about it? Lol!

Focused on verbs this morning.

Today I started a new chapter in my life with one on one Verbal Surgery/Power Prayer sessions!

Although, I’ve gone through these techniques with thousands of people hundreds of times, it’s always special to work one on one and way more intense! Thanks to my friend John Cook for supporting me and helping himself, too!

After our time together, we went out for Vietnamese food then over to the Buford Highway Farmers Market for crepes. While there, I got to speak Spanish, Vietnamese, French, Russian, Swahili and Farsi! Good times!

Went to Clarkston to visit with Ashley and Penelope! I had some checks that I couldn’t get to go through the ATM machine at the bank. For some reason the phone works better! We got the money in the bank and had fun talking about upcoming events. Ashley is doing a phenomenal job calling people. SO proud of both my girls! She’s going to the beach tomorrow with her family. GLAD they can have some fun before the baby comes!

Miles had on his new microfiber shirt from the zoo. He looked like a super hero!

Came home in torrential rain. I hope to ride this evening, but I’m always hesitant when the roads are slick.

Working on eliminating addresses from the Research list that bounced. Fortunately, not too many!

Pray that the response will be HUGE!

Admin duties now.

Portuguese! Sing Prep! Bank! Tent!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:50 pm

Studied Portuguese this morning. Surprised?

Had a good talk with my Mom. I always keep her in the loop. Especially when I’m stressed out. I keep repeating, Romans 15:30. “May the God of Hope fill you with Peace and Joy as you trust in Him. So that you will overflow with Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Went to FBC Doraville to pick up checks, the Golden Box of Jams and the projector.
Getting ready for Sunday at Westside.

Got the projector so I can work on presentations I’m doing in September.

Went to the bank to deposit checks. Thank you, Lord!

Picked up a Roku Express + so Kathy can watch Netflix on the analog TV.

Later, I talked to Xfinity. Earlier they had told me that having internet and most basic stripped down TV was $100. Today, they told me that internet was $79 and adding TV was less than $2 more. So I guess I’ll keep the local TV stations. Still nice to have Netflix though.

Makes sense.

Worked on insurance for the mission. Back and forth and back and forth. I think we have it squared away now.

Speaking of Squared away, I got the Square card reader activated. I can now take credit card payments for my new Verbal Surgery biz.

Also added a Yelp site.

And I have my first client tomorrow. Yeah, baby!

Jesse had a huge branch crash through his tent this morning. Thank God he wasn’t hurt!

Went to Walmart to get him a new one.

Went by to see the Kendalls!

Kathy worked four hours today at the day care center. SO glad she’s feeling better.

Pray for our finances. I was overdrawn at the bank. I have many Whirlwind checks that I’ve kept. I deposited a small one to put some money in my account. Always scary when I’m broke and the ministry doesn’t have much money either. That’s one reason why Ashley and I are both creating part time jobs.

Another of our ideas is taking people on Safari. I worked on marketing that tonight. Website availability and names are job #1.

Looking at making small 5×7 signs with business cards that people can take. That would be a really cheap option for promotion.

Portuguese! Podcast! Research! Bike!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:30 pm

Rained a little over 1″.

This morning I worked on Portugese! Keep getting better!

Released a new edition of Verbal Surgery!

Check out Verbal Surgery -478- “Just Let Go!”

Click on the title and GROOVE!

UPloaded to server.

Link on Facebook.

Recorded a new podcast! A terrific episode called “The Write Stuff!”

Took all the stuff of Kathy’s out of my car and put it in her car.

Really bad news. I really hate what the Republicans are doing to this country!
For sure!

Isn’t one enough?

Jesse and I revised the Whirlwind Missions.org site. It needed to reflect the new standing with the missions.
Did research on the Physical Therapy centers in our area.
Biked 10.86 miles.

Portuguese! Verbal Surgery Site! Penelope!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:02 pm

Worked on Portugese! Surprised?
Let Pastor Ben know where our outreach event will be on August 27th @ Dunwoody Glen.
Worked for hours on my Verbal Surgery site. Updated all the podcasts. I added over 55 to the site.
Very complicated. Taking the links and descriptions from my server and putting them on the other site. WordPress has made it very tricky to do. Everything has to be exactly right or it doesn’t work. Used to be WAY easier.
It was so difficult I almost gave up once. Then I realized, hey, I don’t give up!

It all has to do with a part time job I’m working on. I’m very good at helping people deal with pain and sleep problems. It comes from a combination of interests including neurology, communication and hypnosis. I’ll be offering seminars to people to help with both those major issues.

I plan on focusing on rehab clinics first. Perhaps also helping at nursing homes as well.

I think it’ll be fun and it’s always rewarding to help people.

Had a great time with Kathy and Penelope. We took her to the pool. She liked playing with the flat, black rocks.

She’s completely intrepid and always ready for walkabout.

We heard that the insurance from the new company refused to cover us because our website had so many locations mentioned. We’ll have to clear all those out and apply again next year. I was kind of bummed out about that. Having the baby helps!

We were going to gave to pay $11,000. The company we were with said they’d drop that down to $3,000 with only one location. The other company said it would cost about $1,100. Any way we cut it we’re still saving over $8,000.
