Grandgirls! Doggie Park! Azalea Easter! 4.7.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:48 pm

Beautiful sunrise!

Studied Spanish.

Always great to see ALL my girls!

We enjoyed more watermelon this morning.

Got the tangles out of the girls’ hair and put pig tails in. I’m still learning how best to do that.

Seems like I get a little better each time.

We enjoyed opening the boxes from one of our supporters with the girls then went to the Doggie Park for some exercise.

I may try and get us involved with this.

Gorgeous weather.

Gassed up the car and checked the oil.

The radiator overfill tank looked empty. It was actually completely full!
Went to the office to check the mail and pick up the Easter eggs.

I told the Easter story to the kids at Azalea. Then we had the little kids pick up eggs. Later, Miles and I threw candy to the kids. I always do it after Easter because I literally get twice as much candy for the same price!

We had a lot of fun with a good group!

Listened to radio from Madrid on the way home along with Color of Magic in Spanish.

Fun day. Looking forward to going to bed early.

Grandgirls! Stone Mountain! Podcast! 4.6.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:28 pm

I saw the International Space Station for the 69th time Monday night.

I liked this from Seth Godin’s blog this morning.

And this from the Art of Noticing blog.

I wish Auto correct would be better with stuff I do all the time like snd for and.

One of the best things about having been in quarantine for two weeks is that picking up the grandgirls is now done completely in the light. Beautiful sunrise.

Kathy rode with me this morning so she could say hi to Ashley.

We stopped at the grocery store to pick up some apples, watermelon and corn. Such a healthy breakfast!

I saw one of these while we were on the porch eating. A woodpecker as big as a crow!

The corn was super good.

An elderly lady at Walmart once told me how she cooked corn. Leave the husk on it, wrap it in a dry washrag and microwave for three minutes. Awesome!

Studied Spanish.

OYB!

3/4″ of rain. Several days ago.

The flowers in my yard are magnificent. I need to mow to make the yard really pop. Just been too tired.

Kathy went with us to Stone Mountain. We bought her an annual pass (we call it a “super ticket”) for just a $25 more. Hopefully, she’ll go with us more.

We rode the train and did mini golf. After that we were pooped.

Sent my mileage log to Ashley.

We got ice cream on the way home. That was fun! The traffic to Azalea was absolutely brutal. Took over an hour. Usually less that twenty five minutes. And no faster alternate route!

We sang a lot of tunes to keep us occupied and happy!

Went by the office to pick up mail!

One of our partnering churches sent us $1,500 to help with the septic repairs. Amen!

Processed and deposited the checks.

Uploaded Verbal Surgery “Clogs and Logs” to my server and Facebook.

Had a good chat with my Mom on the way home. We’ve been talking a least an hour every day during the last two weeks of quarantine.

Tired. Still need to study Spanish a bit more before I go to sleep.

Yesterday, Baylor won the national championship for the NCAA in Basketball! Sic ’em, BEARS!

ISS! Covid! Podcast! Yard Work! 4.5.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:31 pm

Sunday night I saw the International Space Station for the 68th time! A short viewing of only about three minutes. Tonight, I should also be able to see it.

Downloaded my recording of “You Beauty” onto my Mac.

Studied Spanish.

Had a good night’s sleep.

OYB!

Paid bills, including a big payment towards my Mastercard bill.

I had planned on getting a second Covid test today.

When I went to talk to the medics they said a second test wasn’t necessary if I haven’t had fever for more than three days, which I haven’t. They also said that the test they gave would show positive for thirty days since first contracting the virus. I’ve had only fourteen days, so they didn’t think it would be worthwhile for me.

My poison ivy is a bit better. The aloe vera seems to be helping dry it out.

Beautiful day.

Went to Stone Mountain to record “Off/On,” a new episode of Verbal Surgery. Super good one.

I had a good chat with a friend of mine whose grandmother is going through chemo for her pancreas. Prayed for her.

I’m looking forward to seeing the grandgirls tomorrow. It’s Spring Break at Stone Mountain so everything should be open. We will probably go early so we can beat the lines. All of us have had covid so I’m not nearly as uptight about the crowds as I was before.

The dogwoods are gorgeous.

Came home to clean the garage, front porch and driveway. I blew it and then washed all the surfaces. It was a LOT of work, in particular because I’m still feeling kind of tired. That also included all the walls of the house in the area and the cars.

The final job was to drain the water hose and do the best I could to untwist it. Hard.

Looks way better.

Came inside, cleaned all my clothes and took a shower. I wore a mask to help with all that pollen affecting me.

Played some Last of Us Part 2.

I normally have been taking a nap in the afternoon. Didn’t today so I can go to sleep around 9pm. I’ll be getting up at 7:15 to pick up the girls tomorrow. I’m looking forward to having them, but my body still needs to rest.

Easter! Podcast! Calls! Poison Ivy! 4.4.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:22 pm

I have two different Poem a Day subscriptions. I liked this one.

And these quotes.

Did you know this?

These look interesting.

Studied, you guessed it.

OYB!

Been awhile since I’ve seen the ISS due to cloudiness.

Went to Stone Mountain. Recorded “You Beauty!”

Talked with my Mom and Anthony.

The baking element in my oven broke. Had to order another.

My poison ivy is better but still pretty painful. I’ve been putting aloe vera on it. Seems to be helping dry out the blisters.

Usually when I get it, it’s only a little bit like on my left arm.

Since I no longer am contagious with Covid, I don’t see the point of having my groceries delivered. It was helpful while we were sick.

Pollen! Calls! Baylor! 4.3.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:24 pm

The pollen seems to be lessening. I’m seeing these pods on the ground now.

The wysteria that I transplanted is doing better.

The poison ivy that I got from digging up the wysteria also seems a bit better. I’ve been putting aloe vera on it today and it seems to be helping dry it out.

Talked with my Mom for a bit over two hours. Always great to catch up.

Had a quick chat with my buddy Anthony.

This sort of thing always makes me sad. Why cut down these magnificent trees?

Downloaded the edition of Verbal Surgery onto my Mac.

OYB!

Studied Spanish.

Still wondering how the Summer will go. Teams are trying to figure out the Covid situation.

I enjoyed watching Baylor win their basketball game!

Podcast! Calls! Poison Ivy! 4.2.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:47 pm

Studied Spanish! I do lessons and then listen to stories. I also listen to books on Audible as well as televnovelas on Netflix. Everything in Spanish.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Fear Patterns.” So good.

OYB!

Had a great talk with my Mom.

Got a couple of packages from a supporter of ours for the grandgirls! Looking forward to seeing them on Tuesday.

I have had one of the worst cases of poison ivy ever. It’s mainly because I wasn’t aware I’d come into contact with it. Usually, I have a neutralizer that I wash myself in that takes care of the problem before it gets bad. The blisters are really pretty bad.

Podcast! Calls! Jon! 4.1.21

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:58 pm

Studied Spanish!

Beautiful day, but way cooler.

OYB! Keep studying!

Added the edition of Verbal Surgery that I recorded yesterday to my Mac.

Pollen is still bad.

The hysteria is so beautiful right now. It reminds me of the jacaranda trees in Kenya.

My new favorite poem is Wind by Gwendolyn Bennett. I studied about her this morning.

I called my Mom today and had the bonus of talking with my nieces Sadie and Harper. That was an unexpected blessing!

I also had a fun chat with my buddy, Anthony.

Then went over to visit with my friend Jon Paul. We used to get together regularly. Great to see him again!
