My view on my walk.

Over 1.25 miles more than I regularly do.

Kathy told me that her sister’s phone wasn’t charging. She went over to Ann’s house and brought it back for me to look at along with the cable and charger. Cleaned everything with alcohol. Took the phone case apart. Cleaned all the insides. Charged the phone up with one of a chargers and cords. Put a new screen protector on it. K will take it back to her tomorrow along with one of my cables and chargers that I know work.

The Mountain Park Aquatic Center opens up on May 27th. That’ll be fun for the girls. I’ll probably get another set of annual passes for them as well. I already have mine.

I found this interesting. I almost always use aqui. The interview I listened to last night pretty much only used acá.

I like this podcast the best.

This one talks about sports. That doesn’t interest me very much, but there are a lot of people that talk on the show so it’s good for picking out words from different accents.

K and I had a fun time with PE at their house today. Everly had a friend over. P hung out with K. I went to Walmart to pick up some supplies for one of the kids.

This is how I think the end of the week will look. I’ll probably end up with about 14,000.

Went to Depilex Asethetics in Lawrenceville this morning for J’s laser hair removal.
It was her last one.

I had a fun chat with my buddy Anthony. He’s one of J’s good friends too.

I was supposed to have lunch with my buddy Jon today, but the wifi installation crew were late and took forever. Moved to Friday.

Sometimes the Ser app doesn’t work and I can’t listen to podcasts from Spain. I usually go to Radio Garden and use the live internet radio app.

My pink magnolia tree at Azalea was hit with a fungus. I got the dawa for it and carefully applied the fungicide to every leaf surface. It has worked great for the plants at my house.

It was probably pretty stupid to rub it in with my bare hands, but I washed my hands over and over again afterwards for safety.

Later the Ser app worked. I listened to this podcast.

Picked the girls up at the bus. Took them swimming at Stone Mountain.

Came home to spend some time with K.

Post pool dry out. First time they didn’t use the floaties.

I have the iPhone 11 Pro Max. It was interesting to see how highly rated my phone still is. These graphs show user satisfaction levels. Notice how low the iPhone 14 is.

Walked 1.76 miles. I read Spanish sentences out loud as fast as I can on Duolingo. My view looks like this.

The exterior keeps moving along.

The pink magnolia I planted at Azalea has some kind of fungus attacking it. I thoroughly drenched it today and scrubbed each leaf. I’ll probably do it again over the next couple of days.

I got a pizza for the girls then we went to the Church & Village Parks. At the last park, we met up with a bunch of the Azalea kids. That made it extra fun.

Beautiful day. It rained at my house but not at Chamblee, which is unusual.

Went to the church for skating and checking the mail.

Listened to live radio from Madrid on the way home.

I gave my hat a good scrubbing.

Keep pushing. My guess is I’ll come in #2 again this week.

Walked 1.72 miles.

Called T&G to ask about how long I needed to wait until I come back in for an oil change. Around the end of September according to the miles I usually rack up. About the same time I head for Guatemala.

Had a nice chat with my Mom.

I get this all the time. I talked to the treasurer for my board. He thought it was probably a scam too.

Always like adding people to the donor list.

Only fourteen more days of school till the Summer. It’ll change my schedule drastically. Looking forward to it!

I dropped my new sunglasses. Of course the scratch had to be directly in the spot I look through. Ordered my free replacement pair.

I haven’t been to one of these in a while. I doubt I’ll go to Marietta to see it.

Walked 1.71 miles. I got passed by a lady today that had to have been pushing 80. She passed me like a rabbit. I didn’t hurry any harder.

Really enjoyed riding my bike today.

While I was riding, I saw this styrofoam that was broken up in a guy’s yard. There happened to be a bag, so I picked it all up.

That’s not zesty.

I saw another dead squirrel near by.

Rode my bike 10.29 miles.

Cleaned and refilled the hummingbird feeders.

Worked on the yard near my back door. Cleaned the carpet.

Trimmed branches.

Whacked the weeds.

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Pocket Change.” Excellent.

My new mic came in. It works with the iPhone. Although it makes me adjust my thinking from getting the iPhone 15 which comes with USB-C output. I may very well get the iPhone 14 Pro Max instead.

K and I ate Indian for lunch. Afterwards, we stopped at Dollar Tree and I picked up some reading glasses for my sister-in-law, Ann.

My guess is I’ll come in #2 this week. That was my prediction on Tuesday. It’s easy to compare what a person did last week and their overall score and dedication to get an idea what they’ll do this week.

Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “The Code.” It’s a good one. Downloaded it onto my Mac Air.

Ordered more weed eater string. I looked up the user manual for my machine. I think I know how to do the string automatically without having to take it apart the next time. Sure hope it works!

Called my mechanic to set up an appointment to get the oil in my car changed. K helped me drop it off this evening.

Podcasts from Spain.

I’ve transitioned from using my lawn mower to my weed whacker. Way less pollution, noise, and carbon emissions. I’m still learning the best ways to use it. Shortening and lengthening as well as swapping primary arms are all skills that have to be learned.

I cut a half acre. Here are the before shots.

Also picked up three carts worth of sticks.

I pulled big mats of this weed up. It was like a slightly sticky carpet.

The rain and sun really makes it grow fast. Nearly 2.5″ of rain the last few days.

Lotsa whacking.

My recycling pit. I never burn anything. Just recycles by mycelium.

The weed whacker does a good job. Way greener to use. All electric. Not even batteries.

I probably spooled out more wire fifty times at least.

Then blew. It’s the same class of tool. Both from Amazon Greenworks.

It was pretty hard work, but still way better than mowing.

I will still study more Spanish this evening.

I listen to Spanish podcasts every chance I get.

Gorgeous weather, but windy.

Picked up the girls! We went swimming. Fun.

For the last thirty minutes, they practiced swimming without floats in the 3 foot part of the pool.

Gassed up my car.

Picked up a pizza for them to eat while we waited for their folks to come get them.

Just ordered an external Rode microphone for my iPhone. I want to make sure I have everything I need to interview people on my trip.

I’ll work on Spanish and take the last test for K’s course this evening.

It’s my buddy Anthony’s birthday today! We’ve traveled the world together.

I’m always planning ahead.

It was really windy today. Wow.

Picked up the girls from the school bus. We went to Grassy Hill Park and the Kite Park.

They enjoyed sliding down this hill. It was made of astroturf.

I sent a picture of this to Anthony.

I made the little kids playground challenging.

This was a new park for us. We tried to fly a kite.
