Anthony! Español! UPS! Podcast! Ann! 4.20.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:49 pm

Looks like I can finally mark this off my list.

Español!

OYB!

Short chat with Anthony. He’s visiting friends of ours in Brazil.

Walked .33 miles.

Didn’t know this word.

Went to UPS to send an adaptor back to Amazon. Also to Kroger to pick up a glass scraper.

Went to Ann’s house to take the Stone Mountain sticker off my old car and put it on my new one.

Ordered an audio cable for my car. I thought I had already done that. I’ve gotten a few things to set up my new car correctly.

I look up words when I’m listening to Don Cheto.

Lovely weather, especially for a bike ride.

Biked 12.52 miles. Felt great.

K and I went to the Tucker Nursing and Rehab Center today. We took Ann some clothes that she asked us to find. She seemed in good spirits. I also brought her some new reading glasses and some scissors.

I went to Stone Mountain (with my transferred sticker!) to record “Wait Lifting.” Downloaded it from my recorder to my Mac Air.

I added Buch Burch, Jimmy Baughcum and Steve Parr to my newsletter list. They are all missions directors that I’ve been in contact with lately.

Tag and Title! Feeders! Key! 4.19.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:05 pm

I made a reservation with the Gwinnett Tag Office last night.

OYB!

I got over to the tag office about 9:30 AM.

I found out a lot of information there, including that I needed to get a copy of my 501 (c) 3 accreditation, as well as proof that the emission passed. They told me that I needed to go to a DMV in Dekalb County where Whirlwind Missions is located.

I went by an emission station. They gave me a print out saying that my car had been done within the last 90 days.

I found the location and got all the documents that I needed.

Went to the central office. They helped me immediately. Super smooth. Got everything I needed in less than thirty minutes.

Ordered some new underwear.

We still needed K’s SS card in order to get the $500 scholarship. I went through every document in my whole drawer and finally found it. Took about 1.5 hours. It was good to get everything sorted. I got a new expanding folder to handle all the overflow.

Did my laundry.

Swept the kitchen and living room.

Got my bike ready to ride. Both my girls look good!

Rode my bike 12.49 miles. Gorgeous.

I replaced the temporary tag with the Dekalb one. I’ll swap it out with the permanent Gwinnett County tag once I get the title back. I need to put the title in my name rather than Whirlwind Missions.

I’m still getting my car tweaked like I like it. Getting a bigger clock.

I got a jumbo hide a key. The magnets were loose so I hot glued them before I put it under the car.

I fixed the name on the website to get K’s scholarship.

Rained about .5″.

Cleaned and refilled the hummingbird feeders. I haven’t seem the birds yet. Hope they’re on the way!

Cleaned and refilled the birdbaths.

K and I went to Metro Diner to celebrate the new car and the scholarship money on the way. Love their cheesecake.

Magnificent sunset on the way back to the house.

Got an adaptor for my iPhone for the car. I’m sending it back. Not the right size.

Honda! Jon! Jimmy! Gymnastics! Azalea! Transfer! 4.18.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:03 pm

Ordered some seat covers, a jumbo hide a key and some wires to hook my phone up to the AUX input in my car.

Did some research on Jimmy Baughcum before my meeting with him today.

OYB!

Went by my treasurer Jon Paul’s house to give him the financial report as well as have him sign a letter for me to help with the title transfer process.

I haven’t had as much time to study Español recently because of all the lunch appointments.

Rinsed my car off yesterday. I’m slowly getting it to being “my” car!

Had a good meeting with Jimmy today. He’s the right stuff. We hung out at the Buford Highway Farmers Market and I took him to Asian Square and China Town.

Checked the mail.

Looking into options as to what to do with the Mercury. She still runs, although the transmission continues to deteriorate. I checked and added to the fluid level every single day.

Picked up the girls and got some pizza. Then to gymnastics.

While I was at the church, I checked on things that the teams had left me. I found some jump ropes, bubbles and beach balls. Kids loved them.

Beautiful weather. Definitely getting warmer.

Don Cheto.

Talked to my Mom on the way home.

I cleaned Mercury out when I got home. I put the gear in the Honda. Took about an hour.

When Kathy got home, she followed me over to her sister Ann’s house. Ann is in assisted living right now doing physical therapy on her foot. I’m parking Mercury there for now. I haven’t decided whether to get rid of it or hang on to it as a back up.

I also went through all of Ann’s clothes so I could take her something to wear while she’s at the assisted living home.

Got home after 9:00 PM. I was really tired.

Police! Azalea! Honda! 4.17.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:47 pm

My sister-in-law Ann is in an assisted living care home doing physical therapy after the surgery on her foot. I’m helping her get some reading glasses.

OYB!

Ordered groceries.

Español!

This morning as I was walking up and down my hill, I noticed a Toyota Corolla parked on the street that had two people sound asleep in it. That was super unusual. I talked with one of my neighbors and we decided it was best to call the cops, which I did.

Eventually, they had five police cars there.

I debriefed with the cops when the scene was about cleared and they told me that they had made “multiple good arrests” because of my phone call and that they appreciated me calling them. Boy, did those guys ever choose the wrong hill to park on. My neighbor down the hill and I are both super aggressive about calling the authorities.

I got in touch with my Progressive Insurance agent and put my Honda on my policy.

Ordered a new file folder. Too much stuff for just one.

Today was my first day that I drove my new 2011 Honda CR-V to work. She’s much lighter and smaller than the Mercury. I’m still learning how to turn everything off and on. I set the clock today. I have to move my stuff to my new car. It’ll take some prioritizing because it’s about 1/4 the size of the other car’s trunk.

We got a few sprinkles, but the majority of the rain went just north of us.

I gave two of the girls at the mission a new Bible. They were super excited about them.

I sent a text to the team leader who had given the Bibles to us.

Helped the kids with their homework.

I like the kid’s art.

Went to my office to check the mail.

Gassed up my car and checked the fluids. WOW! The engine is so clean.

Got my groceries and put them up.

Steve Parr! Title! PE! Azalea! Hornet! 4.16.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:31 pm

I’ve been connecting with friends of mine from Baylor in preparation for going to Waco in October. I look forward to meeting up with my buddy Don Howard on Monday.

In preparation for getting the title for my Honda, I took a picture of the odometer. We needed that number.

OYB

Definitely warming up.

Español!

I met up with a new friend, Steve Parr, at the Oyster Bar in Lawrenceville. Not the best place for a vegetarian, but they had a veggie pasta that was really good.

Steve and I had very productive talk. Hopefully, some good things will come out of it.

Went by to see Dr. Pat Barrington. She signed the title of the car over to Whirlwind Missions today. Thank you, Father for her generosity.

I got an old foosball table out the trash. I still need to reglue some sections. I have balls coming from Amazon.

I picked up the girls and took them to Arby’s. I told them I wanted a picture with them with the Big A, because they are both A students. Then I told them to “look smart.”

It was really hard to suck the Jamocha shake.

Helped the kids with their homework.

Checked the mail at my office.

Listened to Don Cheto on my way home.

I started using the ATM near Northlake Mall to deposit my checks for Whirlwind. It’s super easy for me to get to and is safe.

It’s been pretty dry. I watered the transplants and the outside potted plants.

I had some excitement this evening. Somehow this huge hornet got in my robe and stung me on the arm. Crazy.

Walk! Pat! PE! Azalea! 4.15.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:09 pm

I’m headed this direction.

I came in #3 last week.

Sent an email to a buddy of mine I grew up with in Kenya. He’s going through some hard times.

OYB!

Hiked 1.50 miles.

Went to Church on Main in Snellville to shoot video for Pat Barrington. She did her presentation on dealing with grief.

Weather is getting warm!

Had a good talk with my Mom.

Picked up the girls at the school bus and took them to Cicis.

Helped the kids at the mission.

My iPhone holder in my car broke. Weirdly enough, I ordered the last one exactly one year today.

Went to my office to check the mail and water my ficus.

Listened to Don Cheto.

Got my new socks in.

I determined K’s email address. I worked on getting her Social Security on line account going. Couldn’t make it work. For some reason, the web site didn’t think that her middle initial was K. Crazy. I’ll try again in 24 hours.

I have a meeting with Steve Parr tomorrow. I did research on him and where we’re supposed to meet up.

Paintings! Podcast! Bike! 4.14.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:31 pm

It’s been a very tight competition the week. The guys put out an enormous amount of effort this weekend. I still came in #3 out of 30 people.

Bought myself some new socks. It’s the little things that make life great.

OYB!

Did laundry.

Español!

Hiked .40 miles. Decided to put extra effort into biking.

Cleaned and checked my bike. Pumped up tires. Rode 12.46 miles

Perfect weather. Atlanta is so beautiful.

I loved the art where K and I ate lunch: El Guero. They told me it was a village outside of Guanajuato. I told our waitress that I had been there and seen the Mummies. She was impressed.

Released “Overwhelming Force” this evening.

FBCD! Español! Podcast! 4.13.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:29 pm

OYB!

I got to FBCD around 8:30 this morning to get set up for the The Show. I was ready to go and got this text and call. Don’t think I’ve ever had a team cancel the day of the event. Huh.

Went from this back to this. I set up from scratch in forty five minutes and broke down in twenty.

It was a beautiful day at the church.

Went to the bank to deposit a check on the way home.

Called Jon to see if I could drop off the financial report on the way home. They were out. I’ll do it later in the week.

Listened to Don Cheto. My ear continues to improve.

Gorgeous weather.

Español!

Hiked 1.57 miles.

Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Overwhelming Force.” I’ll release it tomorrow.

Last night I heard from my buddy Dan Smith about ComeHoming this year at Baylor. I’m planning on going. It’s the 100th anniversary of the NoZe Brotherhood. I’m not missing that. I contacted a bunch of guyz last night. I hope to see many of them in Waco. One of my buddies from Austin is now living in the ATL. What?! I look forward to getting together with him one day soon.

Anthony! PEK! 57th Fighter Group! 4.12.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:55 pm

Just keep going!

OYB!

Español!

Added oil to my car and checked the oil in K’s.

Super windy.

Had a good chat with my buddy Anthony.

K and I picked up the girls at the bus and took them to the 57th Fighter Group to eat. The vegetarian options weren’t very good. I had a black bean hamburger that was gross. I still chowed it down.

After we ate, they wanted to do gymnastics on their dance floor.

I liked all the WWII decorations.

Cool articles.

K is still having a hard time getting around. Father, help her heal.

Went to the Village Park to play. I got the kite out. Almost TOO windy.

They liked the rope course better.

Checked the mail at my office.

Blew the deck and the driveway.

Wrote an email to Dr. Jeon, my dentist.

Tooth Implant! PE! Azalea! Gymnastics! 4.11.24

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:47 pm

Just keep going.

OYB!

Turned really windy and rainy.

Jessi helped me make sure I can recover my account with Apple if something happens.

The big day finally arrived! After an extraction, a bone graft, an implant, and a post, I finally got the crown put in. I’ve had a hole in my gums for over a year. BUT, all that waiting made it possible for Medicare to kick in. And further waiting put me in a new year so further funds from my health insurance became available. So after more than $3,000 worth of work done, I ended up paying NOTHING. What a blessing.

I’ve enjoyed ready the Longevity book by Peter Attitia.

I deposited checks in the morning after seeing the dentist. The mail came in late this afternoon with more checks. I deposited them on the way home. Thank you, Father. What a blessing.

My calendar is really filling up.

I rested for about an hour at my office.

I ate lunch at Taco Veloz. Usually I wait for the girls, but I was too hungry. I took them there too.

Gymnastics.

Both Miles and Ashley came to see the girls work out. Love getting to hang with them.

Helped the kids with their homework and to prepare for the standardized test coming up next week.

The Super Mario game has been a big hit. All the kids love it. Having four players being able to play is one of the reasons I got the Nintendo 64 again.

I was glad to get my team on the calendar.

Listened to Don Cheto. There are actually three other people on the show with him.

Gassed up the car on the way home. I need to add oil tomorrow.
