Yard work! Zoo! David and Beverly!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:26 am

Ash and I raked leaves on Friday.
a
They were super heavy because they were still wet.
t

As my Daddy would say, “Ash worked like a Turk.”

d

We moved most of them to where I park my car.
c

I drive over them to compress them. Makes for good soil.

It flat wore me out. Even got a blister on my thumb. Boo hoo.

This afternoon K and I and Ashley went to the zoo!

Always fun to see the animals, although many were inside because of the cold weather.

e
e
I saw these Macaws in Costa Rica!
m

My girls were little birds!
a

They were having fun!
r
z

I think the naked mole rats were the most interesting, but I find them kind of gross so I didn’t take a picture.

K and I went to David and Beverly Clyde’s house this evening. They also invited David and Ruth Sullivan as well as friends of theirs from their small group Bible Study. Allen and Kathy “adopted” us as one of their missionaries. Good to meet them!
c
Back home now doing admin duties. My computer has started to run really slowly. It’ll be ok and then just suddenly sit there and I just wait and wait and wait. And you might know how good I am at waiting.

This speed limit sign just seems funny to me.
s
I can’t even jog here the speed’s so slow.

Have a Zoo Atlanta Christmas!
z

I think he needs a sticker that says Doesn’t Know When To Quit.

Ashley! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:42 pm

Over 2 1/2″ of rain yesterday. Excellent!
g
It was great to eat lunch with Kathy, Miles and Ashley today!

Ashley helped me at the mission. Never too much Ashley.
a

The girls there really love her.

Back home working on admin duties. Looking forward to a day off tomorrow.

This is what I try to be.

Marietta! Auction Kings! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:54 pm

Interesting day today!

Had a terrific meeting with partners in the Marietta area.  Larry Chandler and Trey Sapp from Eastside Baptist Church met with our director of the mission Michael Anderson.
t
Really good folks!  My prayer is we’ll be able to mobilize a lot of people from their church.

I had a little time before going to the mission so I went over to Gallery 63 which is the home of the reality series “Auction Kings.”  I think that show is really interesting.
6
h
Paul Brown is the star of the show. He’s a cool guy.

p

It was fun getting to walk through the building.  Interestingly enough, I used to have a mission work there with my partner Felix Lora!  I thought the last time I was in that building there were Bible story pictures everywhere.

Now the steeple is in the back yard.
s
Also went by the office to check on the mail.

And to see Bayo at Huntington Terraces.
b
Then to Azalea to help the kids.  I was glad that Ms. Linda was there!
l
a
a

I liked this story by Barbara!
b

Quiz time!
a

You know that’s right!

Ian and Ruthie! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:43 pm

This morning I had a fun meeting with Ian and Ruthie North. We met at Global Mall to eat at the Indian buffet there. For $6.99 I think it’s a great deal.

Great to hear that they’re doing better.
i
Went home to work on the financial report. It’s the end of the month so it takes longer.
r
Picked up Ashley then went to Azalea. Kathy met us there. She goes early to work with the Bengali mothers.
a

a

k

Helped the kids with their homework. Lot of kids, even though it was really raining.

Ride home was brutal. Really slow traffic. Tough.
t
I saw this at Global Mall. Teaches Indian culture.
g

This played some Hindi songs.

Adios, Jesse! Post! Podcasts! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:36 pm

This morning was kind of sad and exciting.
k

Jesse is going to Tampa for a couple of weeks to work with one of his partners. He’s an expert in online business. I think Jesse will pick up some valuable new skills that can help our ministry.

It was sad waiting for him to leave.
j
He’s a great guy and a super partner.

Went to the Post Office to mail our Christmas edition of the Outreach Update. It contains the calendar.

po

Glad to see that job delivered!
i

It’s a lot of work, but I think really comes out great and very cost effective.

Worked on podcasts this morning!
p

That’s always a favorite part of the week. I choose one of my Proverbs and talk about it for about 20 minutes. Fun!

Went to the church to check the office mail. Rainy!
c
Then over to the mission to help the kids. Sure miss Jesse. Especially on the hour long trip home every night.

Shadin and his gangster look.

Angel did his work GREAT today!
a

The boys get to play games afterwards.
g

Admin jobs now.

New Podcasts!

Tim A. Cummins @ 3:04 pm

Hello, my friends!

It’s Monday and that means recording for me!
p
Got two great new podcasts. I think you’ll love ’em!

One of my basic strategies in life is “Do your best!” This podcast will help you! Your Best!

And “Somebody is more important than Everybody.” At least that’s what I think! Listen to Be Somebody!

You’ll be glad you did!

CIBC! Newsletters!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:35 pm

This morning, Kathy, Ashley and I went to Clarkston International Bible Church.
t

It’s always great to hear Phil Kitchin preach!

c
Music was great too!
cc
I can say this is true about my church.

We went to Piccadilly for lunch! I enjoy seeing other church friends there.

This pretty much sums up America.
l

Ash and I finished up the newsletters.
a

BIG job! I think they turned out really well. I worked on the printing.

p

Ashley laminated and put the magnets on them. Then stuffed the envelopes.
e
These are the magnets. I thought they looked cool.

Also went to Staples to make copies.

Now we’re ready to put everything together!

Back to work!

Newsletters!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:23 pm

This morning I went to Staples to pick up the rest of the supplies I needed. In particular, little envelopes. Also dropped by Post Office to get stamps.

Went to the mission to unload the chairs and tables we used. Then work on the labels for the newsletters.

c
f

Everything’s ready to go now except for the letters and insert!
c

I still have to finish producing my page of the newsletter and then start printing up the calendars for our gift this year.

It’s a pretty big job when we have to print out nearly 200 and then laminate them.

Rainbows all around us!

Thanksgiving!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:02 pm

It’s fall for sure!

Here’s one day’s worth of leaves. Before and after a sweep!

s
g

Our front street is still a mess. I tried to clean up some of it with a water hose.

w

J and I did errands on Wednesday in preparation for our big party today at our house!

We’re ready!
t

We had fun with our Bengali friends. We go to their houses a lot.
b

Great to have our family there too!
b
b
a

The boys had fun arm wrestling! Guess who won!?

b
j
b

Kathy is a great hostess!
k

And of course I’m grateful for the best kids in the whole dad gum world!
a

And Miles is a cutie too!
m

And don’t forget Sugar!
f
Paul was lookin’ good too!

Group shot!
t

After lunch we took our Bengali friends to Stone Mountain. It’s awesome!
j

I thought it was odd that these geese would just sit on the asphalt!
g

I kind of liked this white tree!
w

And who can resist this?
