Street Destruction! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:00 pm

This morning I got up to take a shower to no avail.

Water work going on in the area.
d
The completely tore up the front part of my neighbor’s driveway.
d
Jesse and I went to eat lunch with Ian and Ruthie North. Always great to hang out with them.
i
Later, J and I took Ian to the main Driver’s Department of Registration to transfer titles from our ministry to him. I’m glad that we have generous people who give our missionaries cars they can use!

J and I went to the office to check on mail then over to Azalea to see the kids and wish them a Happy Thanksgiving.
j
r

We probably won’t see them till Monday.

Jesse tried some of this. He said it was gross.
c

And which picture do you think best expresses this melted cheese?
c
This one that I shot?

Or this one that J took?
j

And why my fascination with melted cheese? Beauty is everywhere!

Here’s the finished product of the street work.

Podcasts! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:36 am

This morning I worked on recording two new podcasts! Yow! Here are the top countries that have downloaded my material.
m

Also posted more of my Proverbs.
p

A lot of chainsaw action going on across the street. They took down a tree.
r
l

Polished out one of the headlights in my car that was cloudy. Don’t know why only one would do it.
h

This afternoon J and I went to Azalea to help the kids with their homework.
j

j

Always fun! K was also there to help!
k
Admin duties tonight.

The eternal question.

I sure look forward to those!

Supplies! Headlights! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:00 am

Got nearly an 1 1/2″ of rain yesterday. Excellent!
r

Picked up supplies for the Christmas mailout today. Takes a while to laminate 200 calendars!
s

Had a fun lunch with the whole family today, even Miles!

Worked on polishing the headlights in Kathy’s van. They got all clouded. I polished off the cloudy part.

Brook Hills BC video!

Tim A. Cummins @ 4:02 pm

Hello, my friends! Here’s the video I shot of our partner Church at Brook Hills working in Chamblee and Clarkston.

Derrick! Lester & Tito! Falls! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:48 pm

Had a productive day!

Kathy came with us today! Yeah!
k
We started out at Gwinnett Place Mall with a meeting with a great partner Derrick Poston!
d

He’s doing a wonderful job of missions in the Sugar Hill area. Been exciting to see that progress!

Then to the Falls where we had a meeting with the management and most of the church partners.
f

It’s a difficult thing to coordinate people who are all super busy. We’re trying to get one person to the keep up with the schedule for the manager. Not always as easy as it sounds.

People get uptight when they feel like they have to report to someone, like somehow that makes them subordinate to that person.

Then the BEST part of the day, I got to hang out with my two brothers Tito and Lester Ruiz!
l

GREAT folks. I’m talking them into a reunion concert. Those two are the best musicians I’ve ever played with!

We picked up the two computers that we had there since they weren’t being used and we were starting English as Second Language classes there. The computers were for self taught ESL. That doesn’t really work in the real world. Most people prefer to have a teacher and be in a class with others.

We dropped the computers straight off at Huntington Ridge. Eduardo and Sheila Zamora are doing a great job there!

Checked on the office at FBC Doraville. Picked up bills.

Let Kathy off at Azalea while we went to Walmart to pick up some supplies for the mission. We needed light bulbs bad.

Helped the kids with their homework at Azalea.
d

j

They’re having to learn elapsed time stuff. “If you start a meeting at 11:30 am and the meeting lasts for 2 hours and 38 minutes, what time will it be when the meeting ends?”

And have you noticed how analog clocks seem so 20th century?

Most of my friends don’t wear a watch. They just pull out their cellphone to check the time.

It’s Eid Mubarak today. Another big holy day for Muslims. The families are very festive!

Working on admin duties.

Finished making the DVDs for Brook Hollow BC. Mailed them off.

I’ve got some exciting phone calls to return. New missions directors and potential church partners who want to come and work in our area.

This baby doll creeped me out.
d

I thought the tree looked even more beautiful today. I love Atlanta!

t

And these clouds looked like chariots of fire!

Eduardo and Sheila! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:37 pm

J has a business where he buys books and sells them on line. We went by the Post Office today so he could send off a book to a buyer.

Also went by T&G to pay off the car repair. We had the Lumina worked on. It needed a new front light and the windshield squirter didn’t work.

Jesse and I went to FBC Doraville today to load up Eduardo and Sheila with some gifts for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
b

We had many churches send us school supplies and toys. I’m glad I’m able to share!
i
We checked the mail at the office then went over to Azalea to help the kids.

j
a

I’m on a quest to get them to speak a little softer. Stop yelling at least.
j
The tree next to my office is beautiful!

Sweetwater! Dunwoody!

Tim A. Cummins @ 12:31 am

f
This morning Kathy, Ashley, Jesse and I went to Sweetwater Baptist Church.

s
Ash and I both spoke.
g

They were a lively and responsive group.

Pastor Jackie is one of my favorites!
j

They’ve been ministry partners with us for years.

Exchanged the keyboard I bought yesterday for the wireless version. Exactly the same price. I really like it. Apple’s stuff is always so spacetechslick.

This evening I went to Dunwoody Baptist Church for a fund raiser for Atlanta Vision and Camp Grace.
d
I was glad to see some of my partners. Eduardo and Sheila Zamora, Bayo Otiti and Carlos Salaverria were all there.
c
Back home doing admin work now. Long day.

Great day with my family and HAPPY BIRTHDAY yesterday to Ashley!
