I was in bed most of the day on Monday.

Got out to go get the meat for our Thanksgiving dinner.

Also to Walmart to pick up some additions to Jesse’s bike.

Came home to rest.

Have a headache and achy today. Still coughing and sneezing. What a mess.

Still not feeling well.

Been sneezing, ears stopped up. Not much energy.

But not bad either.

Admin duties and rest.

Felt not that wonderful today. Tried to rest a lot.

Beautiful day!

Flew my drone around the yard. Fun!

Also went to see the new Bond movie. I thought it was pretty good.

We were on a mission this morning!

To get J a bike!


We went to Aztek Bikes in Stone Mountain.

They had some nice used ones, including a Trek Antelope.

That ended up being the best for J!

We had a beautiful time in Stone Mountain!

Later took Sugar for a walk!

We did about 2.5 miles.


Started to get dark on the way home.

We had a good time this evening at Ashley’s party! K and I have been working out!

Enjoyed a hamburger and pool.

Then outside in the hot tub. I didn’t get in. Looked great!

Had a nice lunch with Kathy and Jesse.

Got a call today from a friend who had a printer they didn’t need. We just were talking about needing a printer at the mission! God provides.

Went to the mission to help the kids with their homework. Not too much today.

I talked about “Whole Pies and Pieces of Pie” with these girls.

Glad Ashley was there to help!

Back home working on admin duties.

We have a break from school for about a week. I’ll still go by the mission to check on the kids from time to time.

I like sunlight through trees. I referred to that image in my podcast today.

It was great working with Ashley this morning! I miss our partnership when we’re with teams! We gave them our briefing.


This was a fun team made up of 5th and 6th graders! Really good kids!

Then took them to the Buford Highway Farmers Market and to Plaza Fiesta!

The famous Whirlwind Missions tradition: “Kiss the Frozen Pig Head.”

Always fun and interesting things to see and do!

I liked these shoes.

The clouds had a certain undulating quality about them. Stratus clouds are usually flat.

After the team went back home, Ashley and I spent a couple of hours working out some issues with our bank account. Recently, my office was ransacked and the thief took some things including deposit slips with our bank account on it. So we changed the account. We went it today to make sure everything was working properly. Looking good! THANKS to Ashley for taking care of many of the problems!

Also went to see antiques for thirty minutes.



Worked at the mission with Ashley. Working on a math project now.



Came home to watch Burn Notice and the Mentalist with Kathy.

Did the grocery shopping today!

This dog kind of freaked me out at Walmart.

It’s fall.

Jesse and I went to Azalea to help the kids.

It was stressful because we only had one day left to finish the Social Studies project on the Civil War.

We got the information together. Drew pictures to illustrate the 23 separate dates. LOT of work.

Came home and enjoyed giving Ashley some little gifts!

Jesse decorated the cake with 24 candles!


We were all glad to see her!

Her friend Jessica is in town!

Enjoyed watching Castle with K!

Mailed off a gift to a friend today! I’m sure he’ll like it!

Met up with the family for lunch!

It’s Ashley’s birthday tomorrow! I got her some new jewelery and some other gifts!

Went to Walmart to get some more batteries. Never too many!

Made some calls about an conference on Wednesday.

Cleaned the fish tanks!

Then over to the mission with Jesse to work on a Social Studies project!

Kevin Riley preached from 1 Peter on humility. Always good to hear that one!


Ate at Madina with Jesse. Delicious!

GREAT to have my girls back home! Ashley and Kathy did a wonderful job in Tennessee! I know they were the hit of the conference!

Enjoyed watching the Mentalist and Castle with Kathy this evening.

This morning I endured some of the worst traffic I’ve EVER seen in Atlanta! 285 was a complete log jam. I was 30 minutes late to meet up with my team from Foothills Community Church.

They were very kind and patient! I appreciated that!

I took them on a tour of the Buford Highway Farmers Market. Always fun!

Then over to CD Tower to see the Buddhist idols.

Finally, we visited Plaza Fiesta and had a delicious lunch. Good time, good team!

Had a nice rest this afternoon.

Jesse and I took Sugar for a 2 mile walk around the neighborhood. Always good to get the legs moving.

After a short rest, we went to eat at Thai of Norcross. We had fun looking at the fire!

Then to see my good friend Carl Barrington perform as Tevya in Fiddler on the Roof. An AMAZING production! I always say that Carl is “the smartest person I know.” He’s a genius! His acting and singing was absolutely incredible tonight. A real A+ performance.

Kathy and Ashley are doing great in Tennessee! We sure do miss them. I was glad that Jesse came with me to the performance this evening. He really enjoyed it too!
