DST! J! Run!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:46 pm

Daylight Savings Time! HOORAY! I love it being light later.

Hard getting up though.

Cleaned the glass doors in the house.

Enjoyed a fun lunch with Jesse and Kathy!

Came home to visit with them and sit outside with the dog. She just hid a treasure in the dirt. That’s why her nose is red clay colored.

Watched a really interesting documentary on the Great Pyramid of Giza. I was fascinated by the complicated math of the pyramid and the constant reference to the use of Phi and Pi–knowledge they weren’t even supposed to have. There were several things I haven’t heard before. One of the most surprising was that the major megalithic structures in the world, including Easter Island, Machu Pichu, Cuzco, Nazca, the Great Pyramid at Giza, and Angkor Wat are in almost a completely straight line around the planet. Fascinating.

Went for a 6.56 mile run today. That’s a long way. Felt great while I did it. Been getting nauseated after so much effort. Gotta think moderation. I saw this sticker while I was running.

My favorite quote is, “My sport is your sport’s punishment.”

Long, steep hills.

I ran down roads I’ve never been down before, even though I’ve passed them thousands of times. Interesting.

Been listening to audio books while I run. Sure makes the time go by!

Wonderful spring trees!

Unusual dried plant. Super light. Looks kind of like a mushroom, but I’ve never seen something like this before.

I’ve found lots of things on the ground while I run. These are fuses I think.
s
I also found someone’s debit card. Amazing what you see when you’re always looking.

I reckon he’s a grown up now.
s
I love camellias.
c

I wonder if mom let’s them play in the street?

I thought the light on these reminded me of Tybee Island.
t
This looked like something my grandfather would make.
g
I’m always struck by how similar cracks in the asphalt look like lighting strikes.

K and I watched a great movie called, “Unfinished Song.” Really powerful movie about older folks singing in a choir. I always get choked up by fathers and sons reconciling in the face of hardships. Highly recommended.

Had fun watching the Mentalist with Kathy this evening. I like that they’re situated in Texas now. Groovy, baby.

Big week coming up including our first Spring Break teams and headed to Texas on Saturday to preach at Main Street Baptist Church in Georgetown, Texas.
