D-Day! Plaza Fiesta!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:03 pm

Saturday evening the clouds were amazing.
s

Ashley and I had our Dedication Day with the teams from Birmingham today!
s

It was fun to give them the Golden Egg of EGGcellence!

s

I also gave them a copy of my book, Power Prayer.

We had a great time singing and praising the Lord!

Ash and I shared about Catholicism as it’s practiced by Mexicans and Central Americans.

We pass the baton and say, “It’s up to ME!”
s

After our Heaven 11 prayer time, the teams turn in their cards of who they’ll be praying for, and then sign the Landing Pad.
s

I give them the Aaronic Blessing in Hebrew and anoint their heads with oil from Jerusalem!
s

Then onto a Cultural Safari to Plaza Fiesta.
s
Ash and I bought a little blue sombrero to put on the Big Egg.
s

I went by each of the missions to check on the teams and say goodbye.
s
s
s

This is a new thing Ash and I are doing: decorating the Egg of EGGcellence. Ay caramba!

Ashley and I enjoyed briefing our teams on Hinduism and Buddhism this morning.
s
s

We took them to Penang for lunch.
s
s
Ashley led the group while I went to Walmart to pick up supplies for closing the mission at Columns at Bentley Manor. I got plastic boxes to put the books in.

We also toured Asian Square.
s
s
s
The team from FBC Montevallo helped me clean and pack up the mission. THANK GOD for them! It’s always sad to close down work. We’d had a mission at Columns at Bentley Manor for years. Didn’t have any volunteers. I didn’t feel right about keeping an apartment when we weren’t doing anything there.
s

I ate a late lunch/supper with Ashley.

Then home for admin duties.

K and I watched Elementary and Suits together.

Slides! A&K! Fridge!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:08 pm

This morning, Kathy told me that the freezer wasn’t freezing. I called a couple of my other repair guys to see who they thought would be a good refrigerator man. Ended up calling Curtis from M&M Appliance Repair.

He told me that it would cost about $600 to get the 15 year old one fixed or about $1,000 for a new, basic model.

We opted for the new version. We went to Lowes, and found one we liked. It had a slight bump on one side and a cracked bottom drawer. We got them to drop the price from $1,200 to $900. Yeah, baby!
s
I also bought a couple more bed slats and set up the bed that Ashley brought back from her house.
s
Ashley and I worked on the slide show for the Whirlwind briefings in the morning, which we call “Heaven 111.” 100 minutes of praise and worship, language and culture studies, and 11 minutes of prayer time.
s
There are a lot of slides and I think they really add to the performance. Way to go ASH!
s

One of the slides is the tetragrammaton, the four letters YHVH in Hebrew. It’s usually translated as “Yahweh,” or “Jehovah,” but the only one who knew for sure was the High Priest of the temple in Jerusalem. It’s also on Ashley’s neck.
s

K and I went out for Popeyes, but they had run out of ice. That wasn’t going to work for K, so we ended up next door at Panda Express. It was pretty good.

Powerful clouds today!

Tim A. Cummins @ 3:21 pm

Saturday, I did the shopping.
s
Cleaned the fish tank.
s

I received my oil lamps from Israel. Hebron, to be exact. From the same location where Jesus would have gotten his.
s
s

Beautiful colors.
s

Sunday, I had a fun birthday! Ashley and I took a family from Perimeter Church on a tour of the International Village.
s

We then had a popcycle party for the kids at the mission.
s

s

Came home to work on admin duties.

Enjoying reading about Peru.

Met up with Ashley, Miles and Jesse to go to Provinos for supper. K and I like it because the birthday people get a free meal. Yeah, baby.
s

Rained this weekend.
s

Good day!

Recorded a new edition of Verbal Surgery! Yeah, baby! I enjoy talking about how the brain works and how you can change it. All Above is a terrific example of this. Just click on the title and groove!

Monday, I took my car to get the tires aligned. One of the front ones had the tread starting to separate. The tires lasted 5 years, that’s about right. So I ended up getting three more new tires. I had to repair a flat on the other one about two weeks ago.

s

Repaired the feeders in my back yard. The wire that holds them up broke.
s

Hibiscus is blooming!
s

Shopping at Walmart.

Resting.

Even grass growing interests me.
s

Doughnut cloud.

Looks like an Amazon bug.
