Back! Newsletter!

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:46 pm

Dealing with back pain. Not nearly as bad as in the past, but still painful. Over the years I’ve learned how to help it. Steady stream of ibuprofen, massage and heat therapy seem to work.
s

Unpacked my new shoes. Ah, the joy of 4E.
s
s

Produced my newsletter.
s

Printed labels.
s

Went to the Post Office to get stamps.

Enjoyed lunch with K. She’s not feeling well. Been sleeping most of the day.

I’ve been busy packing for my trip. The best trips go better with careful planning.

Downloaded the app for audio tours of the Old City of Jerusalem. Several other Hebrew language apps are now on my phone. Also took pictures with my iPhone of most of my maps. WAY easier to see them on your phone. Zoom in saves magnifying glass.

Also charging all my external batteries. I can go 7 days without plugging in my phone. I did a lot of research about my phone when I went to the Amazon last year.

Watching Luther with Kathy.

Penelope! Tybee!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:58 pm

I had fun watching Penelope! I taught her the controller for the PS4.
s

It was quite an adventure getting to the Island. We took an alternate route but somehow Google kept sending me down these African bush roads.
s
I just kept following what the computer said to do. Ay caramba.

And giving us time to arrive like 2 days later!
s

We finally got there around 9pm. Moon was beautiful on the water.
s
s
s
K and I had a great time at Tybee Island. The weather was perfect. Never know what you’ll see.
s
s
s
s
s
s

s

Kathy had her birthday while she was at the beach. She had a great time, too.
s

I visited my grave site. Lots of people had been there and left a stone.
s
s
I put them in a pattern.
s
The bracelet says, “Amor.” I’ll be right below these two gigantic oaks that have grown to make one shape.
s
I’m near the angel and Gracie.
s
s
I always clear the lot and pick all the weeds before I leave.
s
Bonaventure is so beautiful.
s

I was fascinated by the life story of Johnny Mercer. A tour guide talked all about him. Did you know he invented Tony the Tiger and Bozo the Clown? What?!
s
s
s
I love my bike. It’s the best I’ve ever had.
s

I park my car and take my bike and ride up and down the streets of the Savannah taking pictures and enjoying the view.

Stopping to visit St. John the Baptist Cathedral is a must do. Love it!
s

Never noticed the cross wrought iron before.
s

Stained glass is so wonderful.
s
s
ss

I light a couple of candles for the Cummins and Kendall families. I give money to help the upkeep of St. Johns: my favorite in the whole world.
s

Always stop here for pralines and turtles.
s
I love the egg and bacon cheeseburgers at Wet Willies. The art there is super cool.
s

Most of these walls are from the ballast from the British ships.
s

I was ordained in this church, known as the Jingle Bell Church. The guy who wrote that song, preached there. It was the Savannah Baptist Center. Now it’s a Unity church.
s

Had fun with bubbles! I carry my Bubble Bucket on my bike handlebars.

s

s
s

Tybee Island is always beautiful.

s
s
s
I got a cutting from this plant. Hope I can get it to sprout.
s
I’ve never seen a cactus this color.

I’d never seen it bloom.
d
Hiked up the Tybee Lighthouse. 178 steps.
s

I love the view from the top. There’s a window ledge you can sit on like a bench. It’s my favorite seat anywhere.
s
s
s
Fascinating.
s

I always visit the Tybean Coffee and Art bar.
s

s

s
Tybee Island in the 10/40 window.
s

I saw this family of geese at BevRicks where we eat on the way home to the ATL.
s
s
s
Great food.

Hebrew! Shopping! K!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:07 pm

Drizzly day. Nice and cool for studying on the porch.
s

I’ve enjoyed learning the Hebrew alphabet and how to speak a few things.

Always something more to know!

s

Nice, long talk with my Mom this morning. Always a blessing!

Had a fun lunch with K at IHOP.
s

Dropped her off at the house, then did the shopping.
s

Bought a few different types of cactus. I always find that interesting. I’ve take a lot of my cacti outside, but not all. Some can’t protect themselves from squirrels.
s

Restful learning day.

Foyle’s War and Luther with K this evening.

Admin work.

I liked this truckk.

Podcast! Girls! Hebrew!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:32 pm

Fun! Recorded a new podcast! “Action Man” will help get your new endeavors started!

I will upload and post it on Friday.

Enjoyed a great lunch with Kathy, Ashley and Penelope. I got to watch the Magnificent Baby while Ashley did the shopping and got a hair cut.
s

Worked on Hebrew this afternoon. Really getting the letters down. Takes time.

The kids at the mission have the Milestone test this week. No homework to speak of. Ash and I went the last three day. Hardly anyone was there. Decided not to go today. Felt like it was a waste of gas.

Spent more time studying.

Enjoyed eating Chinese food with K this evening.
s

Watched Foyle’s War and Luther with K.

Love these calanchoes.

Penelope! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:11 pm

This morning I got to Clarkston early to pick up the Magnificent Baby!

s

We drove to Stone Mountain Village and walked around the main drag. I like some of the antique stores in the area. The art was cool.
s
s
Love the geometry.
s
s

P likes a LOT of visual stimulation. Just have to make sure to keep things out of her reach.
s
s

I only meditate at the All Inclusive Angel Parks.
s

She slept about 40 minutes on the way home and at the house. Tired girl.

We played out side on our deck. Fun.
s

Ashley took P home and then we met up at the mission.
s

Hardly any homework now. Plus most of the kids have Milestone tests and they don’t get any homework.

s
s

Came home. Studied Hebrew.

s
It’s best to learn a little bit a day, rather than try to cram a whole lot of stuff at once. Working on verb memorization.

I can actually read most of the Hebrew script now. I amaze myself.
s

Came home this evening and our neighbor’s stuff had been put out to the curb.

I reckon it’s the stuff they really didn’t want or had no where to put. Sad.
s

Took K to the baseball game. Izzy, Ashley and Miles’ niece, was playing. The only thing I got a picture of was my bacon cheeseburger.
s

Watched Foyle’s War with K.

Admin duties now.

I thought the moon looked cool this evening.

Podcast! Mark! Keanne and Paton! A&P!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:19 pm

Great morning, recording!

s

I love this edition. It’s my greatest hits of happiness. I call them “Secrets of Life.” A practical guide to feeling happier NOW!

Dropped off the Financial Report that Ashley compiles for our treasurer.
s
Met up with Ashley and Penelope!

Mark Hill is a Minister of Music at FBC Garland, Tx. That’s Dallas! He’s a terrific guy! Our partnership goes back 13 years!
s
He looked cool in his wrestler mask.
s

We showed him Plaza Fiesta and Asian Square.

Mark will bring a big choir. Looking forward to doing outreach with them in July.

Gassed up the car.
s
Ash and I worked on Hebrew while we let our Little Partner take a nap. She was indescribably awesome today. There is nothing better than the laughter of a baby. Nothing.

We met up with Keanne and her daughter Paton at the mission.
s
s
I liked her new dress.
s
Not hardly any homework.

So we took our friends to China Town.

Then back home to watch Foyle’s War with K.

Podcast! Birds! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:23 pm

Beautiful outside my window!

s

Sunday evening I saw the International Space Station for the 15th time! Pretty impressive!
s

This morning I recorded a special DOUBLE issue of Verbal Surgery on dealing with hurt called, “Win Pain!”
s

Uploaded to my server.
s

Put the link on Facebook.
s
Picked up limbs and refuse in the yard.

Made a few more reservations for tours while I’m in Jerusalem.
s

Cleaned out the trashcan where I keep my bird seed.
s

I have a blend of four different items.
s

The main seed for a base, then extra sunflower seed and milet seed, and then the surprise twist: cat food.
s
s

Lots of animals eat that cat food. My guess is that I’ve had opossums, raccoons, coyote and fox in my back yard.

Put some material on Twitter.
s

Fixed a hole in the side of my house.
s
s
After the repair.

Glued the rubber back to the end of my shoes. Shoddy.
s

Dropped by our storage room at the church. Got more pencils and supplies.
s

Went to the mission to work with the kids. Not much homework. Most of the kids have testing and they don’t give them homework at those times.

s
d
s

Always great to see Ashley!
s

Came home to watch Foyle’s War and Death in Paradise with Kathy.

Did some shopping at Walmart.

K had some especially good time with her today.

Podcast! Plants! Cleaning!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:46 pm

This morning I had fun recording! Yeah, baby!

PermaNICE is a terrific episode of Verbal Surgery which gets to the heart of our actions towards others!

Came home after recording and started moving plants outside.
s
s

Trimmed some of the dead leaves away and watered them thoroughly.
s

I was sad to see that one of the bromeliads had barely survived due to lack of light behind the other plants. It’ll hang in there!
ss
Painted K’s toenails.
s
Vacuumed the house after taking the plants out. Dirt and leaves, etc.
s
Went to the UPS store to send my tennis shoes back for the correct size.
s
s
After at least 10 years of use, I’m retiring my old shoulder bag for a new one. You can tell I’d made a lot of repairs.
s

Jesse spent the night at our house last night after we had sprayed his room with bed bug spray. The insects we found turned out to be carpet beetles and NOT bed bugs. Praise the Lord for that!
We still took everything he owned and washed and dried them at high heat. That was mucho trabajo.

12 garbage bags full of clothes, rugs, shoes and bedding. We used 8 washing machines including two super heavy duty ones at one time.
s
s
s
s

After they’re cleaned, more sorting and folding and hanging.
s
And drying.
s

We washed all the clothes at a lavandaria near FBC Doraville. Completely Latino. I liked it.
s

This warning was on the washers and driers.

Podcast! Girls! J!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:30 pm

This morning I recorded! Yeah, baby!
s
It’s important to know how to relax. We all need more “Chill Will.” Just click on the title and GROOVE!

Uploaded to my server.
s

Link on Facebook.
s

Ate lunch with all my girls!
s

s

Went to the Post Office to mail some tshirts to teams.
s

Then to Chamblee to help clean up Jesse’s room. We thought there might be bed bugs. I took samples to the exterminator, he said they were carpet beetles! That’s a relief. I still bought the spray for bed bugs and sprayed the room thoroughly.

s
s
J and I went for supper at the food court at Northlake Mall. J got Egyptian food.

Got J’s prescription for his glasses and checked out frames. I think he has a couple he likes. Great!

Did the shopping while we were at Walmart.
s

Came home to watch Foyle’s War with K. Watched a dinosaur show with J.
