New memory verses I’m working on.

Got four new tires for Jesse’s car! Peachtree Tires treat me right!

Had a fun lunch with my family! Pho 24, baby! Not sure why my picture with Miles and Everly didn’t turn out. Bahd luck.

This mango/coconut jelly cake looked better than it tasted.

Kathy and I took the girls to Hippo Hop.

We met Ashley and Miles over at Stone Mountain to hang out at the pool there. Fantastic time.
Got gas in Ashley’s Jeep.

Penelope and I had a painting session and played golf.

I uploaded the videos I edited for the teams. I’ll send their final email to them as part of my admin duties.
Just had a fabulous experience! I was outside putting some catfood on the ground for my raccoons when I noticed a small squirrel eating the suet. I thought, “That looks like a flying squirrel. But they’re not out at night, are they?” Sure enough they are! Jesse and I watched a pair of them for about twenty minutes. FANTASTIC! Super hard to see as they dart in, grab a bite and shoot off. Truly incredible. Very few people have seen them in the wild!

Teams! DDay! Plaza Fiesta! Missions!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:50 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Woke up around 4:30am. Studied for about an hour.

Had a great time with the teams this morning for our DDay–Dedication Day.
Penelope has been enjoying rocking out with the singing.

I keep trying to launch myself to the ceiling!

Penelope, too!

The girls are so awesome!

My new song, “Napenda Baba” which means “I love you, Father” in Swahili has been a hit. It’s divided into three verses with Napenda: Adonia, Yeshua and Ezer, the three names of God. Ezer means “helper” in Hebrew which is what Jesus (Yeshua–is his name in Hebrew) called the Holy Spirit. They each have hand motions. Adonai has hands raised with “jazz hands.” Yeshua is the cross–he is the bridge we go aCROSS! And with Ezer we pat our chest, since he lives inside of us!

We gave our team leaders their “Golden Egg of Eggcellence!”

Senor Tim says, “Buy the book, vato!”

Ashley is always great in The Show!

Presentation of Mexican Catholocism.

Passing of the baton, “It’s up to ME!”

“I will pray for . . . ” cards to Jesus!

Annointing heads with oil from the Holy Land.

Signing the Landing Pad! It’s five years old this week! Over 4,000 signatures on it!

Then to Plaza Fiesta! I thought these mannequins looked sad.

Never too much Penelope! She’s so awesome!

It was the first time I’ve seen Everly play there. She had a grand time!

Love my girls!

I shared a couple of language apps with friends of mine interested in learning more Spanish.

Ashley, the girls and I cleaned up the Fellowship Hall and got things ready for next week.

Final duty is to take the trash out!

Went to check on the teams. I had just missed one of the teams at their first site. The place was a huge mess. I’m sure my folks didn’t make the mess, but I couldn’t leave it that way–we could get blamed for it and then lose the priveledge of serving there. Cleaned up little pieces of what looked like was the stuffing for a toy for about twenty minutes.

Teams did great at the missions!

Cleaned out the water coolers and took them back to our storage room at the church.

Relocated squirrel #40! I’m not sure the job will ever be completed. As squirrels find my feeders, I take them to another forest about five miles away.

Beautiful sunset.

This new house had an addition being built that was a garage. They tore it down and made a garage into the southern wing of the original building. Made a lot more sense. That big building was a monstrosity and really took away from the beauty of the master house.

Great talk with Kathy and Jesse this evening.

Teams! Global Mall! Al Madina! Kitab! Missions! Bike!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:47 pm

Ashley and I had fun briefing our teams on Judaism, Christianity and Islam today.

Rabbi Mode. Introducing a new song Napenda Baba! Has the three names for God: Adonai, Yeshua and Ezer. I like it. Father gave it to me yesterday on the way to The Show. “You sing a lot about thanking me, but you don’t say you love me.” Hmmmm. Changed that right quick!
Penelope learning it with us.

Always enjoy doing The Show. Just one more week of the Summer. Hard to believe it!

Rabbi Tim says, “Get the book, Shalom!”

Fashion Show!

Red Thread ceremony.

Cool clouds!

We ate at the Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet. Excellent!

Then to the Kitab bookstore. Different stuff to see!

Then to Global Mall!

Then to the missions to check on the teams. They’re doing great!

Teams! Storms!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:44 pm

Sunday night I added material for my twitter feed. They all come from my sermon notes!

This morning, I got the word that the fellowship hall where we have The Show was flooded! Fortunately, our stuff was unharmed. Whew!
Great time with our teams!

On Safari to the Buford Highway Farmers Market!

Then to the missions!

Absolutely torrential rains with thunder and lightning cancelled most of the sessions. Just too dangerous! Wow.

Came home to rest and work on admin duties.

Westside! Bike! 7.15.18

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:59 pm

Got an email from my marketing mentor Seth Godin that I thought was particularly interesting this morning.

Studied Spanish and Swahili.

Went to Westside BC this morning. Pastor Ben spoke on the importance of tithing.

Went for a 13.46 mile bike ride this afternoon.

Always something beautiful to see.

Great to see my geese! Can you spot the white one? He’s been with that flock for several years now. He has a mate this year. I’ve been looking for different colored geese.

Interesting cloud formation.

I’ve kept Fasciata plants for over ten years. This is the first time I’ve ever see one flower again! Yeah!

After I rode my bike, I cleaned and refilled my hummingbird feeders. I only put out two these days. I’ve seen at least two hummingbirds: a male and a female. Wish they’d have little ones!

I just read that hummers can have three batches of eggs a year. I used to have SO many! Now I’m happy just to see a couple.
We had 1.5″ of rain in the last couple of days.

Admin duties now.

I’ll probably work on posting material for my Twitter feed. Need to work on adding the new email addresses to our newsletter list. That’s an ongoing job.

I like this bumper sticker.

Podcast! Girls! Shower! Correction!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:36 pm

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning.

Finished working on the shower. Earlier this Summer, I added more silicon to stop the leaking through the grout. I trimmed it up to make it look nice.

Recorded a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Buckle Up!”
Then went to Walmart to buy groceries. It was one of the heaviest loads ever.

I’m using my new shopping bags rather than the Walmart plastic bags. Little greener!

Kathy and I watched the girls this afternoon for a few hours while Ashley and Miles had a date.

Always a blessing!
Kathy noticed that in the paperback version of my book some of the chapter page numbers were off. I corrected them and posted them to KDP/Amazon. The cool thing about this program is I can constantly add or change stuff to the book because they print one at a time. Groovy!

Humble! Kitab! Temple! ACX! Bike!

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:39 pm

Released a new episode of Verbal Surgery -574- “Bridges Not Walls.

Work towards unity not “US and Them!” Just click on the title and GROOVE!

Uploaded to server.

Link on Facebook.

Studied Spanish and Swahili this morning. I didn’t study languages yesterday, although I thought I did! Streak starts over. No big deal.

Had a great party with my kids instead!

Took our team from Humble, TX to the Hibachi Grill in Norcross. Super good. Kathy and the girls joined us there. Always fun to hang with them.
Then just around the corner to the Kitab Bookstore. It’s the largest Muslim bookstore in America.

Omar, the owner, gave gifts to every kid on the team.

Then took the team to visit the BAPS Hindu Temple in Lawrenceville. It’s a magnificent structure! Took around a million man hours to build. Over 34,000 pieces that fit together like Legos. Three kinds of stone including Italian marble, Turkish limestone and Indian sandstone. Took about a year and a half to build.

Said my goodbyes to the team. They went on to work at one of the missions then to the Braves game this evening.

I went home to work on the audio version of my book. I got the rest of the files from my audio engineer from Venezuela last night.

Nearly four and a half hours of fun!

Also uploaded an edited version of the cover that says that I’m the narrator.

Next step is quality control. My recording was very good, but not perfect. That’s why I needed an engineer to tweak it. He took out any background noise and got it ready for ACX which is the distribution arm of Amazon, Audible and iTunes.

In less than two weeks it will be ready for the public! The audio version is the way to go. Lots more fun when I read it for you!

Pretty exciting stuff!
Once that was complete, I focused on editing the videos I shot for out two teams this week.

I do all the editing with Videoshop on my iPhone 7+. It’s powerful software!
Worked on my shower. Cleaned up the silicon from the grout. Finished about a third of it. I have to take my time and make sure it looks good. I’m working with a big razor blade in a handle. Have to be super careful.
Then went for a 4.73 mile bike ride.

It was getting dark when I rode and looked like it was going to storm. I have become super conservative riding my bike. I used to ride like a bat out of hell. After my third wreck and one near deadly accident, I go way more slowly especially around corners and wherever there’s any chance of cars. Just makes sense. I also never ride if the roads are even slightly wet. Because of the possibility of storms I cut my ride short. Still fun and great exercise!

I thought these butterfly wings were cool.

Sent an email to the chairman of our board asking about a Spanish church that could work with a lady that we met at one of our missions this week.

Admin duties now.

I still need to send the final email to the teams with the photos and video as well as promo material this evening.

Gassed up my car on the way home.

Had a brief rest, then went to Cafe Istanbul for my 60th birthday party with my kids and grandkids! Kathy was too tired to come. I’ll have fun with her tomorrow!
