Meds!

Tim A. Cummins @ 6:45 pm

Still resting in bed. Feeling a bit better. Not so light headed. Not having the vertigo.

Here are my vitamins plus the Levaquin (aka elephanticillin.)
v

We ate at Subway. Don’t see this score very often.

Went to the grocery store today. Kathy got a small cart.
c
I felt like I was riding on the short bus.

I thought this motorcycle was cool.
mb
What about this powered bike?
b

Kathy said, “That’s cheating!”

We took our blood pressure. This one’s mine.
t
Here’s Kathy’s.
k
Not bad I reckon.

We also washed the car at the new car wash on 78.
w
Trying to get all the salt off from the ice storms.

I’m not eating anything with a title like this.
f

I liked this sticker. Can you figure it out? Missing word is “follow.”
d

I always think the ice refraction rainbows are beautiful. It’s called opalescence.

Little sleep! Heavy meds!

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:40 pm

Had a bad night last night. Coughing kept me up till about 4am. Sure am glad I can sleep in.

I was feeling a lot better before I went to sleep.

Kathy went to the mission to work with the kids. Thank you Lord for team work!

Apparently, the meds I’m are on super duper antibiotics. Pray they do the trick.

I’m supposed to be at a missions conference at Peachtree Corners BC this weekend. Need to be up for that.

Keep praying for me!

Doctor!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:29 pm

Still not feeling well, although thank the Lord I’m not having that extreme vertigo!
t
Went to see Dr. Pat today.
p
Started coughing up green phlegm.
a
She put me on some strong antibiotics. Keep praying!

I noticed that a hubcap on Kathy’s van is missing. Took a picture so I can get another from hubcap.com.
h
On the way home, I thought the sky was beautiful around Stone Mountain.

Podcast! Adios, snow!

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:41 pm

I sure am tired of talking about not feeling well.
t
I’m less dizzy (PTL!) but I feel weak and my ears are stopped up. Sucks.

Worked on a podcast today.
p
Revolves around being sick. It’s called Rest is Blessed! It’ll bless you! Click on the title!

I was going to the mission today with K, but just don’t feel up to it.

I have a big mission conference Friday through Sunday at Peachtree Corners BC. I absolutely need to be on top form for that.

Looks like just about all the snow is gone.
s
Good riddance!

Shopping! Ashley! BPPV!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:05 pm

I took my girls out for lunch today for Chinese food. It was ok.

Then to Kroger for some shopping.
k They’ve moved stuff in the store around again. I hate that!
While I was there I picked up a knee brace for Ashley. She hurt herself during the ice storm.

She seems better today. She’s anxious because school starts tomorrow and that means a LOT of walking. Pray for her!
a
Also did research on my dizziness. You may wonder, “Why haven’t you done that before?”

Here’s the deal. My personality, if I’m not careful, will actually generate symptoms! That’s true for a lot of people!

I’ve always felt it was an inner ear problem, although I’m confident that my doctor’s diagnosis of hypotension was also correct. But I’d have symptoms when I didn’t stand up, but just roll over in the bed. THAT is what made me keep coming back to the inner ear condition.

So I started doing research and apparently what I have (at least what I think I have) is called Benign Paroxysmal Position Vertigo.

Basically, a small piece of calcium from the cupula comes out and goes down one of the canals that controls balance. As they roll along they give the patient the feeling of extreme vertigo. Let me tell you, I don’t frighten easily, but when you get these severe spins it’s mighty scary.

The treatment involves positioning the head in several motions to try and get these small pieces to roll out of the canal. I’ve tried some of the exercises (which caused me extreme vertigo) but to no avail. At least not yet.

So I wrote my doctor and let her know what else I’d found out. There are treatments but all of them require a doctor’s prescription.

We’ll see what she says. It was interesting to see how it all works.

Still not feeling great. Got a touch of what Kathy has. I’m going to go to the mission tomorrow so keep praying!

I apologize for always talking about my sickness. I’m bored of it too!

At least I still look good!

And under the topic, “Food I’ll Never Eat.”

Sickish! Financials!

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:49 pm

I hate to say I’m feeling bad again. But.

Kathy has been really sick with chills and fever and body aches for the last several days. Last night I got a really bad night’s sleep and my throat feels kind of achy. PLEASE pray that I will completely recover, both from my dizziness (which is better) and this flu thing. I’m hoping I’ll feel a LOT better by Tuesday when I go to the mission.

Kathy went to FBC Mountain Park today. I wasn’t up to it so I did the TV church thing. Can’t say I liked it. The ONLY thing they did was ask for money and practically guarantee that you’ll get TEN times the return. I don’t know where they get this stuff.
t
On the other hand, the Father is always so generous to his children! But it smacked of bargaining with God which I don’t dig.

Worked a couple of hours on my financial report. Always glad to have that done and know we have a little money in the bank.
f
THANKS again for your financial support to our ministry. It’s making the difference in thousands of people’s lives!

SO good to see the ground again! I’m glad all this snow is melting.

Errands! Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:10 pm

Out on the town today!

My first time to venture onto 78 and 285, both of which were perfect!

The chain on my necklace broke last night. Bahd luck. So I went to the mail to get my Indian jeweler to solder it back together. Looks good now!

Also got a new case for my iPhone.
s
I like this non slip Speck case. Jesse has one just like it. My old case was ok, but it was really hard to turn my phone off and on. That’s gay.

Enjoyed walking around Perimeter Mall even though it was PACKED! It looked like before Christmas crowds over there. I always think that’s a good indication of the economy improving, so that makes me happy.

I thought the blue glass of this building was beautiful
b
Best part of the day was going to the mission and loving on the kids. They were really glad to see me, too.
t

They were concerned.
nm

Mikey asked me, “Do you have cancer?” When I told them “Orthostatic Hypotension” they all got really quiet. After I explained to them it just means low blood pressure and I get dizzy, they were less impressed. I had a little bit of dizziness today which kind of depressed me since I thought I was over it. BUT I’m still a lot better, so that’s what I try to focus on.

Got a new game for the kids.
n
They have fun playing with the Nintendo 64 when they don’t have school work to do.

k

The mission looked beautiful in the snow.
s

I was glad to see it melting!
r

I liked their snowmen.
s

This one needs to go on weightwatchers.
w

Checked on the mail at the office. Isn’t the church beautiful?
d

Went by Best Buy to pick up some new ear bud head phones. Sony, no baloney.

I think the snow/ice is beautiful at night.
s

Everyone should sign this.
n

What’s drastically wrong with this picture?

Mobile! Healthier!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:33 pm

I woke up this morning thinking that FINALLY I might be getting over all this vertigo. I’ve had the head spins whenever I lean over or move too fast. I’ve had the condition for nearly a month!

THANKS so much for praying for me. I really appreciate it!

Every morning I read my One Year Bible. Kathy gave me my Bible when I turned 30! So I’ve read the whole Bible through 22 times. I STILL see new things every day!

I had to spend some time taping the first 15 days of January together. Pages were coming loose. Better now!
b
Can you see how I write in the margin as a diary?

I got the shovel out and cleared our driveway so K and I could use the car.
s
It’s the first day I considered it even marginally safe to get around.

It’s finally beginning to thaw out. Here’s the bird bath water!
bb
Going out to eat Mexican food was my real motivation to brave the roads.
to
Thank God for El Torerro! Saw several friends there.
kt
Went over to Walmart to do some shopping.
w

I’ll put these up later. The string on my old ones is messed up. They don’t hang straight.
b
Came home and cleaned fish tanks. Whopping fun!

Snow hike!

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:23 pm

After four days of not going further than my mailbox, Kathy and I took a hike around the neighborhood.
t

k
It’s a winter wonderland! Except for the near falls!
i

r

I thought these looked like candy balls.
x
l
Nice snow man. And snow dog!
s
Six inches of snow equaled less than a 1/2″ of water.
r

I liked the way the sun shone off the snow.
ss

Not so scarlet today!
s

I’m amazed these plants can survive. Tonight it’s supposed to get down in the teens, perhaps single digits!
c

Being working on admin duties.

Still feeling dizzy, but only when I lean over. So, improvement! Thanks for your prayers! I get depressed after days of this condition. I prefer my usual “tiger tank” self!

Coldness!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:39 pm

Still freezing here in the ATL! I’m glad to be warm under a blanket. AWESOME to see the sun out again!
ss

Jesse is still up north visiting friends. He’s in Boston right now. He cleared off about 20 inches of snow off his car and the driveways!

Ashley and Miles worked on getting his car back to his house.
a
What a struggle as it slid down the hill!

I’m not moving mine.

I’m feeling better, still dizzy when I lean over. Sucks. Keep praying for me!

Enjoying a rest time.

Had some good calls with partners and setting up teams for the Summer! It’ll be here before we know it!

Sugar wasn’t crazy about the ice!
s

You can see where I feed my birds!
b
I haven’t seen a squirrel since Sunday. Guess they don’t dig snow. Literally!
