FBC Jonesboro!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:54 pm

Had a terrific group of young people from First Baptist Church Jonesboro with me today!

They’re a choir group of High School students. They sang great!

I gave them my “Take you to Cambodia” briefing along with my explanation on how to round up the kids at the apartment complexes.
t
Then we went for a tour of the Buford Highway Farmers Market, one of my favorite places in the world!

At the end of the tour, the choir sang in the lobby. WOW! It was an amazing experience!

It was great to have Angela from Dunwoody Baptist Church ride along with us!

Had a quick lunch at FBC Doraville and then off to the missions!
d
They have a big bus. They don’t get any bigger: 56 passenger!
b

I had figured out the route that the bus will go to drop five of their teams to 10 locations around the International Village. My plans came off without a hitch!

The kids did a wonderful job with the children at the apartment complexes.

Ashley and I went by Azalea to see our kids!
m

We also talked to Ruthie North and her sister in law, Lisa over at Huntington Creek! Glad to see them!
l

Back to the church for a quick supper, then to Pearl Lane for a big outdoor concert! It was wonderful to see all the adults come by and listen to the singing.

I did my best to translate what the choir director was saying into Spanish. They seemed to get it, so I guess I did ok. Julie Cook is one of the best choir directors I’ve ever seen!

Ashley got home after 10pm. Long day. And I still have admin duties.

It’s a weigh of life, baby.

I can’t believe I missed the King Kong Robot. Dang!
