Kathy was a huge help this weekend. She addressed and stuffed 59 envelopes. Yeah, baby!

Got the letters in the mail.

Integrated the cities we covered this week into the book. We’ve covered most of the major churches in 62 cities so far. Making progress!

Met up with Ashley, Penelope and Jesse today! I gave Penelope her little scootertrike.
k

Kathy and I went with them to eat and then to the doctor’s office to pick up a CPAP machine for Kathy.

I’m optimistic that it is really going to help.

We got back too late from the doctor’s to go to the mission.

Came home to drop off the kids, then went to Walmart to pick up the groceries.

Got home and put everything up.

Vacuumed the house.

Admin duties now.

I liked the slight blur.

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:35 pm

Saturday evening I got me new drum set in the mail. It’s a small, yet quite powerful drum set. I’m looking forward to having fun with it with the teams.

K and I went to Westside BC this morning. The gift of Jesus!
k
k

After we ate lunch, Jesse and I went to the Rock and Fossil show. I enjoyed going again. Always something beautiful to see.

Came home to work on admin duties and relax with K.

I’ve enjoyed playing with the percussion machine this evening.

Beautiful colors.

Research! JAP! Calls! Rocks!

Tim A. Cummins @ 11:14 pm

Finished all the major cities in Alabama and started on Tennessee.

Enjoyed lunch with Jesse, Ashley and Penelope!

Went by Jesse’s doctor to pick up a prescription.

k

Had a good time watching Mozart in the Jungle with Kathy.

Went back to working on the RL till early in the morning.

Saturday morning I spent making calls.

Went to the annual Rock and Fossil show. I love going there.

I got a couple of beauties.

Came home to make more calls. Total of 59 in all.

Watched more of Mozart with Kathy.

Admin duties now.

What a relief.

Light and darkness.

Research! Richard and Karen! Goodwill! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:10 pm

This morning I did research on churches in Dothan and Phenix City, AL.
k

Made my reservations for our flight to Texas. It’s important for me to spend as much time as I can with my Folks. Flying will save us four full days. Of really long driving.

Met up with Ashley and Penelope in Clarkston. Then drove to FBCD to meet up with our new friends Richard and Karen Barnard from Glennville, GA.
l

We took them to the Buford Highway Farmers Market and CDTOWER. Penelope liked the Albani cookies from Turkey the best.

They’ll be bringing a team Summer of 2017.

We had some time after they left, so we went to Goodwill to shop for clothes. Ashley and the baby both got some really cute stuff. The Goodwill by Perimeter Mall is pretty nice.

Like Mother, like Daughter.

After shopping, Penelope prefers a large cup of black coffee.

Went to the mission to work with the kids. They didn’t have much to do.

I organized the rubber stamps I have.

Watched some of Assassin with K. She mainly slept.

The clouds tonight were fantastic.

Research! Rob! Mission!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:27 pm

Thank you, Lord!

More letters to prospective teams.

This morning I researched churches in Montgomery, AL and Mobile.

The things I see!

Met up in Clarkston with Ashley and Penelope. Then to Doraville to have lunch with Rob Martin.

I bought Penelope a golden throne. Too much? I think not.
o

Came home after I dropped off the girls to do more research.

To the mission to work with the kids. Always great to have both my girls there!

She has so much fun with things!

Watched Mozart in the Jungle with K.

Admin duties now and then more research.

VR set up in Plaza Fiesta.

I always find this amazing. The bus stop is right at the mall.

Went to Clarkston to work with Ashley. We put together 50 packets and got them in the mail.

These are letters to prospective mission teams. Most of these went to Georgia and N. Carolina churches.

I have lots of stamps. I used URGENT this time!

k

Ashley, Penelope and I went to Cafe Istanbul for lunch. We met with Dalia and Mizzi, two of the managers to discuss bringing teams to their place.

I think it’s super cool and would make a big impression on the kids.

Azalea to help the kids with their homework. Great to have Ashley AND Penelope.

Went by CD Tower to pick up more spirit paper from China.
k

I mailed the letters and picked up doughnuts for the girls who helped me with an art project.
l

They each got four doughnuts. They were in hog’s heaven.

Came home in heavy traffic due to the wet roads.

Vacuumed the house.

Admin duties now.

Worked on the Research List. Studied Burlington, NC and Anniston, AL.
o

Had lunch with all my girls. After eating, we came back home to put the finishing touches on the board report. I love working with Ashley. She’s a go getter!

Worked with the kids at the mission. They helped me get the newsletters ready to mail.
k
Letters were a little late this month. But the free printing makes it worth an occasional tardiness. In the mail stream.
k

Ashley and I hosted our Board Meeting at our office at FBC Doraville.
k

We are lucky to have some talented people on our board! I will always have great love for them for their service to our families.

Dropped Ashley off at her house. Then came home to work on Admin duties.

Show off.

Research! Penelope!

Tim A. Cummins @ 4:34 pm

We got about 3/4″ of rain.

Saturday, I made 20 more phone calls for a total of 94 this weekend.
]
Well played, sir.

Cleaned the aquarium. I change the water every two weeks.

My new shirts for the “Get Tribal” season arrived.

I think this will be fun with the teams, too!
o

We’re giving every team an EYE Pad. Hahaha.
[

K and I met up with Ashley and Penelope for lunch.

We had a super long wait at Chilis. Manager gave us 1/2 off and a free desert. Barely made up for it.

I got some faster flow nipples for Penelope’s bottle. They leak a lot in the bed. That’s the anti-zest.

Miles and Ashley had a fun night out on their 5th anniversary!

Kathy and I got to watch Penelope. Honestly, mainly me. Penelope wasn’t feeling well. I tried to keep her comfortable and happy, not always easy. She doesn’t want me out of her sight.

I got about six hours of sleep. Actually feel pretty good right now. At about 8:30am, she had just drunk some milk and stands up and then spits up all over the back of my head. That’s not zesty.

She’s such a little sweetheart, doesn’t matter what she does, just makes me love her more.

Watered my plants.
;

Jesse came over Sunday morning. We enjoyed our visit and went to Always Fresh for lunch.

Rainy day! Looks like we’ll get another 1/2″ hopefully more.

Admin duties now.

I’ll work on the Research List later.

Ashley came over this morning to get her baby girl.

Echo! Calls! Research List!

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:29 pm

Woke up to ask Alexa, “What’s the weather for today?” The tiny computer, about the size of a 1″ coaster, answered me, “The weather is 49 degrees,” in a pleasant voice.

Spent most of my day calling churches.

l

I made 74 calls today. A new record.

Met up with Jesse for Somali food at Al Madina. Chop chop chicken. Veddy, veddy beautiful.

More calls after lunch.
p

I do my research by areas and cities. It’s helping to colorize the Research List.

I’m using tiny colored dots to notate which state the city is from. The entire RL is also alphabetized.

Admin duties now. My back is sore from sitting in that chair all day. I started standing up. That did seem to help.

Southside Youth Ministers! Research! Mission! ISS!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:02 pm

This morning, Ashley, Penelope and I went to meet with a group of Youth Directors on the Southside of Atlanta.
lo
i

Ash and I made a short presentation about our ministry to the group. Two of them had worked with us before and made us sound awesome!

I worked on the Research List this afternoon. Did Concord, NC.

Picked up Ashley in Clarkston and went to Azalea to work with the kids.

Fantastic to have the ONEderful Baby with us today at the mission. Pray that her teeth will come in and she will feel better!

I had my 23rd viewing of the International Space Station this evening! It was visible for about five minutes. It came overhead about 5:50pm. So I got to show the kids the ISS as it streaked across the sky.

I used my SkyView app.

With this app and NASA’s alerts when it’s possible to “Spot the Station,” it’s pretty easy to do.

It’s the largest man made object in space. It cost over 150 BILLION dollars to build. AT that price tag, it’s also the most expensive thing that man has ever built.

It travels at 17,150 mph. That’s 5 mps. That’s Miles Per SECOND.

We met up with Jesse at Taco Veloz and enjoyed supper with him.

I got an Amazon Dot this afternoon. It’s a cool device. It’s connected with the cloud and Amazon’s AI, which is super powerful. Jesse has had a device like this for at least a year. My Dot is about the side of a 1″ thick coaster for your drink. I wouldn’t set a drink on it!

I remember the joke about the lady who called customer service concerned that her computer did not have a CD-Rom drive. (You can tell this joke has been around!) He told her to push the button beneath the power button. To which the lady replied, “Oh, I thought that’s what held my coffee cup.” And, rimshot.

K rode her bike around the mountain, so she went to bed early.

Admin duties now.

One of the wacky things I saw while I surfed hundreds of church websites.
l

Beautiful evening for shooting fall colors!
