Woke up with my bed shaking. I reached over and felt the mattress vibrating. Weird. Turned out to be a 3.8 magnitude earthquake at the border of Tennessee and N. Carolina.

Talked with the outreach leader for a SS class at FBA this morning. I think I gave Kathryn a good overview and pitch.

Talked with one of the apartment managers about food banks and flyers for the team coming soon.

Good chat with Jon about the housing allowance situation with our payroll company. I now have the information that Paychex needs in order to do my checks properly.

Mailed the bill in for K’s medicare.

Recorded and released a new episode of Verbal Surgery called “Stability Instability.”

Got some new sunglasses. Not sure what happened to my old ones.

I transferred the money from Pay Pal into our bank account for Whirlwind. I still need to get a list of what was given since 1.1.25.

I ordered a new bank card for Whirlwind. Our card isn’t working great.

I’ll come in second place this week.

Ordered some new reading glasses. Not sure what happened to my sunglasses. Hope they turn up. May have left them somewhere on Tybee Island which is not like me.

I heard back from Lamar who is my tax guy. I sent Jon the information I got from him. We need to contact Paychex which Jon normally does.

I got some money back from the hotel because my bed was so bad. They swear they’re going to swap it out. Hope so.

Replaced the screen protector for K’s phone.

Brought home Thai food.

Lovely day. I spent most of it resting.

We had a good trip back to Atlanta! K had a stomach problem. We had to stop several times on the way home. It was great to have the whole family together.

We ate at Clary’s for breakfast. It was delicious. We were too full to get dessert. Sure looked good.

We got caught in a really heavy thunderstorm, but it was short lived.

Got gas and added .75 Qt.

GREAT to have such a loving family. The girls were fantastic. K and J had a lot of fun with them too. Ashley and Miles were so happy to see the kids back!

I got up around 7:00 to study. Just keep going.

PE and I went on a bike Safari to the North end of Tybee Island. Artsy fun. Great banana nut muffin at Tybean. Love the shark head. We got a couple of cool t-shirts for $5 each.

We got surrounded by rain. I knew it was coming and we were under shelter when it hit, but we got a little wet on the way back home.

We had fun visiting all the little shops in the area.

PEK and I went to Sunrise for breakfast.

Español! I finished in third place last week.

We went swimming in the ocean. I saw a dead jelly fish on the shore. While I was in the water I saw one that was swimming. I made us all get out. If they got stung I’d never forgive myself. We enjoyed the pool instead.

How does someone get a sunburn like this? Bizarre.

We rode our bikes to the Lighthouse. They did great on the bikes! We made it half way up the lighthouse, then it got too scary for the girls. I wasn’t surprised, it’s very intense. They had fun at the gift shop. They still had a $25 credit for helping me for hours with the monkey grass project.

We thought this was interesting.

Tybee Island museum was cool.

Love this place.

Then ice cream at the Sugar Shack. It’s an ice cream and candy place now. K and I went there for nearly 40 years for breakfast. Miss it. We still liked the ice cream!

We went to the Southern tip of the island on our bike ride.

Big thunderstorm blew through late last night. Everly got pretty scared.

Took me about an hour to pack the car. Bikes were last.

Gassed up the car after we got through Macon. Ate at Subway and a gas station deli which was pretty good.

We left our house around noon. Got to Tybee about 5:45 PM. Unpacked the car and locked the bikes up.

Then to the beach before sunset!

Good chat with Anthony! It was his birthday yesterday.

Sprinkly weather today.

Good chat with Nana today. Glad to have her back home! She’ll be coming to our house on June 5th. One month from this Wednesday.

I listened to this album as well as Don Cheto while I played Battlefront II.

Ashley brought the girls over around 4:15 PM.

Gassed up the car and checked the oil. All ready for the Safari to Tybee Island tomorrow.

We went to Burger King for supper.

Added some more data to my Mint mobile.

Jessi and I got Kathy signed up for Social Security.

I double checked the bookings for our trip. Everything should be good to go.

It’s my buddy Anthony’s birthday today! We were in NYC 14 years ago. Good times.

Storms missed us today.

It’s Kathy’s retirement day! At least that’s what we’re calling it. She will probably go back to work some. I bought her some balloons and treats and gave her a card.

One of my favorite things is blowing big bubbles at the beach. I got all my gear together for that. Checked all the beach gear as well.

Went to the Dollar Tree to pick up stuff for the trip as well as goodies for K.

Recorded and released “Night of Day” this evening.
