Grandgirls! Art Project! 12.31.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:49 pm

Wasn’t sure I really knew the definition of this word. I’ve seen it a lot.

I was telling a friend about my One Year Bibles. The older one has been with me for over 32 years.

Fog this morning.

Tee hee.

Never too much Ashley!

Love these girls!

Gassed up the car. It didn’t give me any trouble topping it off this time. Good news.

Cleaned the windshield. Checked the oil.

Studied Spanish.

Cleaned and refilled birdbaths and feeders.

Cleaned off the carpet in front of my door.

I set up an art project for the girls.

She got tickled because she was acting like the paint was soap and she was “washing her hands.”

They both had a great time.

I encourage them to be prolific.

We did some drawing. She was drawing Penelope when she was a baby and had “tiny eyes.”

I drew a Christmas tree and she put on the ornaments.

She’s the young lady about town.

Paid the electric bill. They said they didn’t get the last check I sent. Weird, yet not that weird. Post Office messes up quite a bit in my experience.

The girls and I watched the new version of Lion King together this afternoon before a nap. Really good. We’ve listened to some of the songs on the album at least a hundred times. Probably more. Same with “Let it Go.”

The girls and I took a letter for my buddy Neyten to help him with his DACA application.

Grandgirls! Stone Mountain Playground! 12.30.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:01 pm

I picked the grand-girls up at Global Mall.

We were told we couldn’t come into he mall until 11:00 am when it officially opens. Seemed like a reasonable request. More places to explore. The challenge is that most stuff doesn’t open till 9am at the earliest. I usually get them around 8:20 am.

We went to the Hong Kong Mall to check it out. They liked the rides the best.

Seems like the majority of the stuff in this mall was oriented towards Vietnamese.

They liked the stretch limo.

We often call Everly “E.V.”

We got one of these today.

When we first entered the store, we passed by the bakery. Man, did it smell good.

They were making baguettes. I guess that was because of the French influence on Vietnam.
One store had the Catholic flavored stuff.

Interesting.

I liked this floor decoration.

They had a FLIR (infrared) camera that scanned people when you went in. You can see the two girls in red. Top of my head is hot because I was wearing a stocking cap.

Everly likes to blow puff balls.

Milder weather.

Everly wore this yesterday. I told her she had to take it off before she went to the playground. She wasn’t happy.

Stone Mountain was open so I had to change plans. There were a LOT of people going on the cable cars. I didn’t like that. So we went to playground instead. It’s got some cool rope climbing stuff.

I liked the bark on this tree.

I like to get them to practice balancing when they’re walking. This was perfect for it. Actually pretty challenging because it was rounded on the top.

They had fun on this.

They were making me pizza. Everly made the coffee.

Cool.

Fun.

Studied Spanish.

Beauty.

I wrote a letter of recommendation for a friend of mine. I help with this sort of stuff regularly.

Went to my office to check the mail and water my ficus.

Grandgirls! Library! 12.29.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:49 pm

Unusual weather this morning. It had been super foggy real early in the morning. When I was out, it had lifted so it looked like really low level clouds, which is exactly what clouds are!

One of the adverts for the priest’s services.

Global Mall always has so many cool things to look at.

I liked this from Seth Godin’s blog this morning. I live by this.

I have a friend in Nigeria that I’m mentoring. I gave him a couple of scriptures to think about.

Met the girls at Global Mall.

Temperature check.

Came home and fed the girls grits for breakfast.

Vacuumed the kitchen.

Studied Spanish.

Cool clouds.

One of our supporters sent a box for the girls for Christmas. We had a party at my office.

The girls and I went to the library to get more books, then to the park right beside it.

When we got home, they helped clean the windows.

To the Library Park.

Interesting to think of kids growing up in the computer age.

The girls and I had a fun time with our “Party in a Box” that my friend sent. We cleaned up my office and Penelope helped me carry the bag of trash. I told her she looked like Santa.

Got groceries on the way home.

Put all the groceries up except for these drinks. Too heavy for my back to deal with right now.

Forgot Penelope’s shoes in my car. Bahd luck.

Beauty.

Tonight’s is called the “Cold Moon.”

Anniversary! Podcast! Calls! 12.28.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 5:07 pm

I always find it interesting when Sleep Cycle says I have a 100% night’s sleep.

Kathy and I have been married 35 years ago today at FBC Doraville, the center of our ministry. It’s been an exciting time. Many good things and two extraordinary people came from the union. Happy Anniversary, Kathy.

This is good news.

I found this fascinating.

Studied Spanish.

Beautiful day.

I put the carnivorous plants back outside. We are due for pretty mild weather over the next few days.

I went to Stone Mountain to record Verbal Surgery and make some calls. Hot coffee warms me up in a cold car.

Recorded “Jive Mind.” Humor really is the best medicine.

Had a fun talk with my friend Anthony.

Brought Thai food home for me and K. She said she’d give it to Jesse.

I’m in bed with a heating pad on my back now. I’m a fast healer so I know I’m going to feel a lot better soon.

I look forward to having these girls with me tomorrow.

Podcast! Calls! 12.27.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:43 pm

I thought this was interesting.

Studied Spanish.

Brain training.

Great talk with my Mom.

Good chat with Anthony.

Beautiful day.

For some reason, I can’t find my external batteries. Super weird. Ordered two more. I can really never have too many of those bad boys. I use them for my phone in the car when it’s turned off so I can continue charging my phone.

Went to Stone Mountain to record Verbal Surgery. Terrific episode called “Seek Light.”

Restful day.

Grandgirls! Stone Mountain! Train/Movie/Dinos! 12.26.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:14 pm

Four years ago Christmas Day, Daddy died. This is the scripture from that day in the One Year Bible I read from every morning. It’s from Psalms 144:4.

I’ve enjoyed the Clone Wars animated series. I watched all of Star Wars Rebels which I loved. I didn’t know where the name Snips had come from.

Seem to be sleeping well. Honestly, I can’t tell that big a difference in how I feel unless I get under five hours.

I must have unsubscribed to this list at least ten times. Makes me pissy towards Walgreens.

Cold day, JACK!

Coldest it’s ever gotten in my room.

Believe me. That’s chilly. Seeing that it’s supposed to stay cold for a while, I plugged in the heater.

Global Mall exactly at 8:00 am.

Nice chat with my buddy Anthony while I waited in the cold for the girls.

Beautiful, clear day. But brisk.

My water bottle froze.

We took our temperatures at a station at Global Mall. We were all perfect.

LOVE my girls!

Work a lot?

Listening to music as were driving to my house.

I turned it down at one point and Penelope yells, “Hey! What’s going on? Turn it up!” Rock on, child, rock on.
Global Mall just has such visual depth. We had fun with the Christmas tree.

Tiny icicle outside Global Mall.

I rode it with them today.

Studied Spanish.

I always enjoy shooting ice and running water. The girls and I looked at it together. Beautiful.

I liked the bubbles.

We have what I call “Super Tickets” because we can ride any ride all year long. The girls and I had a fantastic time. We rode the train first.

Next? Funnel Cakes with Fried Oreos.

Christmas Dinos.

The girls had never been to a movie before. Wow. Their first one was in 4D! The movie was a 13 minute adaptation of the Polar Express.

The chairs buzzed and you felt puffs of air along with snow! And 3D of course.

The kids absolutely loved it!

As we were leaving, I realized that I was missing on of my Isotoner gloves. I went in and tried to find it, to no avail. But I was not to be defeated!
The girls were quite patient as I explained to the staff that I had lost a glove and needed to go find it. We waited for the movie to finish and then they helped me find it. Amen!

We got pizza on the way home, cheese and a cheese and pepperoni.

None of us ate too much. I think we were still full of funnel cakes and Oreos.
Great to see Ashley. I believe I’ll have the girls again on Tuesday.

Restful evening.

Christmas! Podcast! Spanish! 12.25.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:21 pm

Merry Christmas! He is born!

I thought this was interesting about Christmas trees.

Ever thought of naming a child, Mortimer?

That’s more than in the General Election!

Studied Spanish. That sounds like a lot of days in a row. My previous record was 282.

Brain Training.

Released Verbal Surgery -817- “The Day Day.”

Terrific episode to get us going, NOW!

I only open Facebook twice a week to post these episodes.

I’ve enjoyed watching Star Wars the Clone Wars animated series. They open each episode with a quote. Here’s one of them.

I’m always interested in new apps for the iPhone camera.

Good rest day. I didn’t even leave the house. That’s rare.

It barely got to above freezing.

Christmas Eve 2020! 12.24.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:14 pm

I don’t see this very often.

Brain training.

Studied Spanish.

Cold and rainy.

Had fun making some videos for my friends Dan and Caruso.

Long talk with my friend in Montana.

Came home for the Christmas party.

My girls.

Roof! Leaves! Wrapping! 12.23.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:56 pm

Beautiful day!

This caught my eye. Since I’ve seen it, it changed to just say rain.

I’ve been thinking about my podcast and how much I enjoy recording. It truly is my therapy. These are the published episodes of 2020.

My friend Piper is missing her mask. I thought the M&Ms remark was funny.

Great talk with my friend Anthony.

And Dash!

Thai!

Studied Spanish.

Went to the bank to deposit Whirlwind checks and get money out to split up between the family members.

Went to a convenience store nearby to get change for three $20s into six $10s. Turned out to be $5s and even $1s to make it work!

Got groceries.

Gassed up the car. Checked oil and cleaned windshield.

Dropped off Kathy’s vote.

Got the Mercury’s repair paid for. J and K went over later to pick it up.

T&G always does us right.

I blew the roof and cleaned gutters while they did that. Getting lined out.

Also blew the driveway and deck.

Put all the containers back under the deck.

Global Mall! Presents and Wrapping! 12.22.20

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:28 pm

Good News.

Arrived at Global Mall in good time.

Always good to see Ashley.

My “Cadillac” was gone. The extra-grande wheelchair was missing in action this morning. We came over here to see if we could spot it in the senior center across the escalators.

Everly brought her baby, BB Queen.

I asked the girls if they knew what this was. They’d only seen the hand-held kind.

Today, one of the Guatemalan women who works cleaning up the mall called them, “Princessas.” So we had to look for jewelry for princesses.

The room where the Shiv Mandir used to be was open this morning. We went through it. I felt kind of sad. We had had some really special times there.

We used to talk about this.

How many of these airlines have you flown on?

I counted twelve for sure.

I love this background.

Little known Indian god.

Went to Walmart to get toys for the girls. I got a $100 Walmart gift card from our board. I spent all of that plus about another $125. Those little girls play me like a dad gum violin.

We came home to wrap what we had bought except for a few each that they could play with immediately.

The girls bought me my favorite Christmas gift. Wonderful.

I’ll have two big garbage bags full of gifts.

I got an email from the President of the Whirlwind Missions board about our outreach this weekend.

Studied Spanish.

After wrapping most of the gifts, I took the girls home and tried, unsuccessfully, to get them to take a nap.

Beautiful sunset.

The kids are out of school and enjoying playing.

I took the Kendall’s garbage to the dumper and saw this in it! Perfect shape, about a foot wide. It’s a beauty.

Went by the office to get the mail.

Made my grocery order.

I got Kathy’s absentee vote ready to cast tomorrow.
