East Lake

Tim A. Cummins @ 9:03 pm

Watched Dr. Stanley on TV this morning. God’s grace!

Kathy called around lunch. She had locked herself out of the van. J and I went to get her some keys.

Been resting and working on my Board report. I have our meeting tomorrow evening after J and I work in Clarkston.

Today was a landmark for me. I passed 50,000 followers on Twitter. If you’re interested, go to my website and click on Tim Bits.

Breaking and Entering

Tim A. Cummins @ 8:16 pm

Decided to cut my hair again. I’d been letting it grow out. Tired of it.
h

t

Went to Stone Mountain this morning. Ran 4 miles on the elliptical treadmill. Cold outside.

Picked up Jesse for lunch. Went to Best Buy to check on some equipment we need.

Got some drinks at Kroger. I rode one of those little carts back to the store. Somebody left it in the parking lot. Too slow!
t

Over to the office to pick up bills. Boo.

To the mission at Azalea to help the kids.

mj

s

Got some bad news over there. Apparently, someone got into the mission, stole the xbox, four controllers and all our games last night. Bahd luck. Kids were pretty upset about it, but no one is surprised. Certainly not me. I have stuff ripped off over there all the time, although normally it’s not something with much value. I’ll be able to replace it all for about $100. Then I’ll let one of the kids take all the stuff home with them every day.

Picked up Bayo and dropped him off at a store on Memorial Drive. He has a job opportunity there.

Came on home. Working on my admin stuff, archiving my book on News Gathering and my Board report.

Rainy day!

Worked on my annual report most of the day. Lots of numbers. Makes you numb.

Ashley rode with Jesse and I today. Alright! We went by the office at FBC Doraville. Only a couple of bills. Amen!

Over to the mission to help the kids.

Drier and Azalea!

Tim A. Cummins @ 10:14 pm

Yes! It’s working! Turned out to be a sensor issue. $35 wasn’t bad to fix it! Now how do I get out of here?
d

Finished my financial report and dropped it off at my treasurer’s house.

Jesse and I also went to the dentist today for a cleaning. He had one cavity. The doctor was able to go ahead and fill it. He said my teeth were great!
t

Jesse and I went by to see Bayo. He had a great trip, but his wife hasn’t been well. He’s going to go back to NYC to make sure she’s taking care of.

Checked on the kids at the mission. they seemed to have had a good Thanksgiving.
j
Had some fun today. Found this on the side of the road. Groovy!

Non-drying dryer and Willow Branch

Tim A. Cummins @ 7:38 pm

Most of my day was spent trying to get our dryer working. It still spins but stopped heating up.

I called my appliance repair guy, went to Lowes to check with them, then drove to Tucker to talk to the guys that sold it to me, just under a year from today (Dec 4th!) So I still had a warranty for labor, just have to buy the part.

Jesse and I put the dryer in the van and I drove it over there. Glad to get them working on it.

I was called this evening to tell me that the sensor went bad and that I can pick it up Tuesday morning.

Jesse and I also drove over to Willow Branch. He taught his guitar class while Bennett and I talked about situations at the missions.
j

I finished my financial report this afternoon and took the hard copy to my treasurer. Wrote the end of the month checks and we dropped them off at the Post Office on the way to the mission.

Crummy, drizzly weather today. But we had a lovely sunset yesterday!
m
And a full moon too!
m
Jesse’s fish had babies. Cool!

c

I’m still trying to figure out why these con trails form like this. Air flow?

FBC Doraville turns 60!

Tim A. Cummins @ 3:13 pm

This morning, Kathy, Ashley and I went to visit with our friends at First Baptist Church of Doraville.
dd

Today was their 60th anniversary of the church. Awesome! It was fun to have the Spanish, English and Korean congregations together.
dm

We have a lot of history in that church. Kathy and I got married there. Our children were baptized there and I have my office there!

Praise the Lord for this great church!
